I can log on.....but I get warnings...on some threads.

Others...not so.

If I post....I get warning on the last box....But, if I just go back...my post is there.

That's why we are seeing multiple same post, posts.

Funny thing is though.....I've had trouble at other sites too.

Something is going on........

Time to read some Claire Wolfe again.

The Stop Badware site responded with this:

Dump Firefox. I cut them off years ago.

The way Brendan Eich was treated, I'll never use Firefox again.

Same here on Fire Fox. I posted on a CRUZ article. FR must be causing some political waves.

Google Chrome throwing up "false positive" on FR.

No such happenings with Firefox.

Jim, Moderator; did you get my request for my password to be emailed to me, or did that go straight to the hacker?

Earlier today, I tried to reply to a post, and was redirected to the login page, with a message that I had to log in first. I didn’t know how I had gotten logged off, but when I tried to log in, my password didn’t work. So I requested my password be sent to my email address. I haven’t gotten an email. I just returned to the site, and found that I had been logged back in.

So now I guess the hackers have my password, and email address.

After being mysteriously logged back in, I tried to open a thread here, and got the phishing warning. If I’d gotten the warning first, I wouldn’t have given out my password and email.

Here is a screen shot of the Google page on FreeRepublic about why they've reported FR as a malware site:

This explains WHY Google reported freerepublic.com was a malicious site. . .

Did they explain how I got logged out of FR, without my knowledge? Or better yet, how I got logged back in without my knowledge? Weird happenings I tell ya.

On Chrome, when I try to preview a post, I get the warning screen. But when I check later my post has been entered, even though I never clicked “Post”.

I can see articles and posts on Safari without the warning, but not Chrome.

Haven’t tried Firefox yet because I’ve had other issues with them (screen freezing, etc).

All of a sudden I can’t read my posts on Safari. It was working fine just a few minutes ago.

I’m posting this reply using Firefox. I hope it goes through.
After that I’ll be taking a break from FR until this gets resolved.

I’ve been here for 12 years and have never seen this type of problem before.

I ran Malwarebytes and found only two non-malware P(otentially) U(nwanted) P(rograms). We’ll find out if the FR site is infected when I preview, then press “Post” below. Here goes:

Well, yup. I think from this and reading the posts, it’s the whole site and not just one thread that is infected. When I chose “Ignore . . .” then another tab started to open up which earlier led to the “stopmalware” web site. I clicked the tab off before it completely loaded, and it went back to the page to which I’m relying. But across the top of the page there was a ribbon with two selections, one of which is “this is not a malware site” (If I recall correctly. Here it goes again:

This time the fake “warning sign” did not come up. Maybe that’s the end? Here I go again:
