On the October 25 airing of Meet the Press, Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson stressed the important role an armed citizenry plays in preventing tyranny, saying, the government finds it “much more difficult to dominate people who are armed.”
That statement came after host Chuck Todd revisited Carson’s past comments about how he believes European Jews could have limited the scope of the Holocaust had they been armed. It was October 8 when Carson said, “I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed. I’m telling you there is a reason these dictatorial people take the guns first.”
Todd asked, “So you believe, if the Jewish citizenry were armed during the ’40s that they would have been able to stop the Holocaust?”

Todd's obvious bewilderment why anyone who would dare imply our government would be tyrannical is an insight into the cluelessness of the Left and their ignorance of history.

What I feel is they take whatever you say and try to make you justify it...
OK, make them state their reasoning first and position yours against...

You forget that they have been “boiling the frog” for a long time and the bulk of Americans did not “feel” the oppression. Recently the far-left loons, feeling that it is their moment” have put the pedal-to-the-metal and woken up a lot of people. An Awake AND armed America is a whole different animal than they are used to.
Would anyone on the thread who supports this man care to take a stab at explaining how this squares with his desire to disarm people in populated areas?

It seems the good Doctor may have amended some of his earlier positions he stated regarding the 2nd Amendment.

I’m not a Truupster, but I still recognize that Carson would do nothing to support or defend my 2nd Amendment rights.
Truth be told the Obama government is doing a fine job of dominating US legal citizens.
Why would a Trump sycophant do that, I don’t know. Seems it would be throwing stones in a glass house (”he’s a johnny come lately to that position.”) I wouldn’t be surprised to see Trump leapfrogging this at some point, however.
