Dr. Ben Carson continues to be calm about his presidential campaign, despite his new status as republican front-runner in Iowa and target of Donald Trump's taunts.
In an interview to air on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday, Carson responded to Donald Trump referring to him as "sleeping" and "super low energy" by saying that "it's fine" if Trump wants to attack him for his campaign style.
"I don't get into the mud pit and I'm not going to be talking about people. I will tell you, in terms of energy, I'm not sure that there's anybody else running who has spent 18 or 20 hours intently operating on somebody," Carson said.

Yep, Clooney is not a favorite actor, but the role he plays is so Un-Clooneyish you won’t believe it.
It is well worth your time. One of those movies that I wanted to have in my very selective collection. I don’t mind watching it again and again because there is always a nuance that I missed before.

Michelle Bachman as IRS Commissioner under Secretary Carl Icahn in Treasury
Admiral James A. Ace Lyons as Undersecretary of War - Navy Branch.
LTC Allen West as Undersecretary of War Army Branch.
Lynnette Diamond Hardaway and Rochelle Silk Richardson would be great as President Trumps Co-Press Secretaries.
Marsha Blackburn, Speaker of the House
Ted Cruz as Senate Majority Leader.
If they haven’t (and clearly they haven’t) after the Mitch/Bhoner years, it’s obviously they want liberalism.
People call CARSON a conservative Christian, but his own statements say otherwise. CARSONs stand on social issues is disturbing.
BEN CARSON - ON SOCIAL ISSUES
Carson has expressed support for same-sex civil unions, and following the Supreme Courts ruling legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states, he conceded the fight was over by declaring the ruling the law of the land. (Newsmax)
Despite maintaining a strong pro-life record, in a 1992 interview, Dr. Carson said that while he does not perform abortions, he personally referred women seeking abortions to other doctors. In the same interview, he said that he would never advocate its illegal for a person to get an abortion. (Baltimore Sun)
Dr. Carson co-authored a medical research paper in 1992 where he outlined his support for the use of aborted baby organs for research purposes. Carson defended his past statements, saying, To not use the tissue that is in a tissue bank, regardless of where it comes from, would be foolish. Why would anybody not do that?
Numerous conservatives have expressed that by providing the demand that abortion providers will supply the market and that participating in this practice is being complicit. (Life Site News)
As revelations came to light about Dr. Carson referring the mothers of unborn children with potential birth defects to abortionists, his campaign defended the practice. A campaign spokesman said, he [Carson] believes in quality medical care, No. 1, and secondly, he believes in people making their own decisions based on facts and information. Pressed on whether Carson stands by his decision to do so, the same spokesman said yes. The statement is particularly troubling given that pro-abortion proponents use similar language regarding a decision between the patient and their doctor, but not mentioning the life of the child. (Politico)
Since news surfaced of a 1992 research paper co-authored by Dr. Carson that included the use of fetal tissue, Carons stance on abortion has come under immense scrutiny and his defense of his previous medical decisions has been troubling to many in the pro-life movement. When asked if Carson stands by his past decision to refer patients to abortion doctors, Carsons Communications Director said He believes in quality medical care, No. 1, and secondly, he believes in people making their own decisions based on facts and information.Additionally, the spokesman went on to say that Carson believes that you cant stop abortion by making it illegal. The spokesman told Politico, he [Carson] has always believed that the battle over abortion had to be waged in the hearts and minds of Americans, that you cannot legislate morality. But he also believes were winning the debate. (Politico)
In the 1990s, Carson was a board member of the Baltimore Charitable Foundation which gave $200,000 in grants to Planned Parenthood. When confronted with this fact, and asked if Carson knew about the grants a spokesman said, it doesnt really matter. (Politico)
When asked if he would support abortion in the case of incest or rape, Dr. Carson said, I would hope that they would very quickly avail themselves of the emergency room, and in the emergency room, they have the ability to administer RU-486 and other possibilities before you have a developing fetus. RU-486 is an abortifacient that kills a fertilized egg by artificially denying it the ability to attach to the uterine wall. Using Dr. Carsons own standard of life beginning at conception, this would then constitute murder. (Politico)
During the campaign Dr. Carson has struggled to define when he believes life begins. He told ABC News that life begins when the heart starts beating but later clarified that he meant conception. (Politico)
BEN CARSON - ON IMMIGRATION
Carson in his books has staked out a hard line on immigration. Carson has called for both the border to be secured and strict interior enforcement measures.]
Carson has opposed illegal immigration and called for a system to ensure only legal immigrants are hired.
However, in more recent rhetoric Carson has championed a national guest-worker program as a way for immigrants to be granted citizenship and favored a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
In the late summer of 2015, Carson came out against rigorous enforcement of current deportation laws.
Carson has flip flopped on the proposed national guest-worker program; first, Carson said that illegals would have to return to their home country, but in July of 2015 Carson amended his proposal to allow for illegals to remain in country as guest workers as long as they pay taxes.
This proposal is very similar to the failed Gang of 8 amnesty bill and until the border is secured incentivizes illegal immigration.
Additionally Carson directly slammed calls for enforcing deportation laws. Carson like all the other GOP candidates wants the border secure, but Carsons support for creation of a new guest-worker program comprised of illegal immigrants is amnesty but by another name.

CARSON goes through money almost as fast as it comes in. I don’t think he can go the distance financially.

Amen.
Also, I fear he would be co-opted by the massive black victim lobby and further increase the “gibsmedats” to avoid being called “Uncle Tom”.
We desperately need to reduce entitlements and I don’t see gentle Ben doing that.
No more black presidents.
I was there when Trump made the remarks ...he was being humorous folks. Not attacking nor was there any hate.
Ralph Stanley is a liberal.
He could put a meth addict to sleep
Perhaps any other time, any other year, Dr. Ben would have definitely received my vote. BUT, THIS election is not the norm, and I just don’t see this very nice, likable, soft spoken guy as the one to vote for. He has many attributes but also many discouraging reminders that he is no the perfect candidate. Sorry, Dr. Ben. Please, don’t stop your dreams and goals. This is not to say you will NEVER get my vote. It’s just not the time at this moment in history.
The scene where they are wearing white robes, walking through the woods and sing, “Going Down To The River To Pray,” sends chills down my spine.
It is a beautiful song, and I have the sound track. It is amazing that something so spiritually touching was in that movie.
I’m not a Carson supporter, but at least he has some class.
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
Ben, baby if you have to respond then there must be something to the charge even in your mind. Enjoy your 15 minutes and start getting ready to be the next Sec. of Health in the first Trump Administration.
