Rove to GOP: 'Don't choose a nominee that reflects populist outrage'
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/22/15 | GABBY MORRONGIELLO

Longtime political strategist Karl Rove is warning Republicans not to nominate a presidential candidate that reflects the same "populist anger" that gave birth to the rise of Donald Trump.

In his latest op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, Rove explained the GOP will have two choices when delegates gather in Cleveland, Ohio, next July to determine which remaining Republican hopeful they wish to see challenge Democrats in the general election.

"Will the party choose a nominee with a conservative agenda or one reflecting populist anger?" Rove wrote.

"The two are hardly the same," he noted. "Conservative principles provide a winning path to the White House. Populist outrage alone will end in defeat."

“Show me where populist rage has accomplished something”

My nominations -—

The collapse of the USSR
The ascension of the Nazi party to power in Germany
and, oh what the heck, the Reformation

I know. It’s also the age old con-game of the Elites called “Hegelian dialectics”

And I want to thank you Norm, for all of the pushback you do here on FR about people who make us feel bad for not pulling the lever on Mitt.

The night before the ‘12 election, I was going to listen to my fave Sarah Palin and pull for Mitt — but a wiser and older soul than I happened to discuss things with me that night.

As you have said, voting for compromised GOPe candidates is exactly how we got where we are today and we have to be courageous enough to STOP.

These days I only hope he's the kiss of death. Unfortunately, when I want a guy to win so bad I can taste it, that's the real kiss of death. I won't say, other than he is still in the race, who I want to win other than it isn't Trump. I don't want his supporters to get discouraged. (I guess saying "his" means it isn't Carly.)

I want Ted Cruz. I'll Settle for Trump or Carson. I absolutely under no circumstances want Jeb. I would rather see Hillary win than Jeb.

W. Bush only won because Al Gore and John Kerry were just so much worse. Karl Rove happened to be along for the ride, and giving him absolutely all the wrong advice, despite which he won anyway.

Naw. I see what you are doin’ ... LOL.

Difference is that people didn’t know Hitler was

1. in league with his Thule Society pals like the Muslim Brotherhood (since 1928 the Nazis had a pact with the Muslim Brotherhood.)

2. Hitler was financed by the Establishment Elite Banksters. That’s right. Hitler was Establishment. Ask Prescott Bush.

Carl Rove to GOP: “Stay on your knees for the DNC and their media lackies so idiots don’t say mean things about you, like call you nazi and such like. Surrender, it’s easier.”

I think the Bush crew (maybe not W or HW) will endorse and work for Hillary over Trump. I have thought for the longest time that Jeb would be her VP.

The last 20 years of “conservatism” has been a fraud. If the American nation is not conserved, what else matters?

These scumbags manipulated and cheated us by using coded language like Bush’s “wonder working power” in the 2004 SOTU, while using our votes to sell us to globalists.

The divide is not “liberals vs conservatives”. It’s globalists vs. Americans.

If we elect an American president for the first time since 1984, we can work out all the other stuff among ourselves. If we elect a globalist, there won’t be enough left of “us” to work out anything.

And all you “global economy” people here - you are no better than the Clintons. Shame on you all.

No need to thank me, though I do appreciate your kind words. I’m just standing up for the system the founders created.

People can make all the excuses for Romney they want. And I don’t care who makes them. they are excuses. His record is what it is and he has since proven how he would have governed. AGAINST everything FR collectively claims to believe in.

Anyone 3 years later still trying to rationalize their actions while their lovelost hero is out there hp;dong retreats and making media comments trying to torpedo everything and everyone conservative is a leftist with mental problems.

Someone once said that if you vote
for the lesser of two evils, you
still end up with evil. That would
be undeniable. The problem is one
man’s evil is another man’s passion.
The only person with whom I have
absolutely no disagreements is me.
And damned if I don’t change over
time.

The task, maybe, is deciding how much
evil is tolerable before it overwhelms
the good that may accompany it.

I know. It would seem that was the point that we went off the rails- which it definitely did, but I think (in practically apolitical recollection, but hindsight), but I wonder if Clinton wasn’t just so outrageous (& we did have SOMEthing in the Contract for America), we just didn’t notice. I think about Bob Dole & it was like a foreboding. GHWB wasn’t one of my favorites.

Yes, it was a relief from Clinton, for sure. Also, I think we were blinded by the light of exploding Towers.

There is a need to say “thank you”...

And I agree, Mitt is a Leftist with mental problems (who threw the election on purpose...)

If Trump wins the primary, don’t be surprised if he picks Kasich as his running mate. Cruz belongs on The USSC.
