From experience I can tell you doctors live in a world where they are idolized and never criticized to their face. They are super busy and cannot develop wide knowledge and understandings of world issues.

They do not know what they do not know. They have huge egos and truly believe they can do anything.

Would never take Carson to be capable of leading country. Think him great doctor. That’s he iz capable though.

Yes, all but one question out of 10 are positive or neutral (1) that are asked about Carson.

Carson will not be elected because he is s black man. This is not racist, but it is racial.

Obama proved that being black can override being American. I think there will be some hesitancy to pull the lever on that possibility again.

I’m kind of holding my breath here, hoping against hope that Trump crashes and burns before we are thrust into a nightmare of a North East Liberal Masquerading As Conservative’s presidency. He is the ultimate trojan horse. Well, Obama ushering in the extremely vile Valerie Jarrett beats Trump for being a trojan horse.

Somehow we conservatives need to stop reacting to what the vile media says. If they say Trump is bad, we embrace him. Screw the media. Examine the facts and make your stand. I know, when a vile entity bashes someone, it’s tempting to take the opposite position. Thinking people need to stop such reactions though.

We are so desperate for n antidote to the vile (yes, I am overusing that word, but it fits) Republican establishment that we are willing to leap to our deaths with a Trump presidency.

If Trump wins the presidency, I pray to God I am proven massively wrong. If I am, I will joyfully admit I was wrong. I am not anticipating such.

I think Carson is probably the most decent human being on the campaign trail. Just not sure if he has what it takes to be president. I like some of the rest, but they are too stinking close to establishment Republicans to trust them. Bush needs to GO and GO NOW! Probably, Cruz is our best shot now. A little too close to establishment, but has burned enough bridges with the establishment that I somewhat trust him.

I just wish Trump was what we as conservatives have made him out to be. He would be perfect.

I agree with you. Managing a department of hundreds is a far cry from trump’s denigrating lie of maybe Dr. Carson managed a “nurse or two.”

Eff trump.

GO Ben.

Wow, Longbow1969... Rove paying you much to try to say Carson is up because of Trump's excellent point about 9/11? LOL. Freeper Red Steel just did his homework and found out it was a fake GOPe push poll for Carson...

But anyway, Trump made a skillful point about 9/11... that having a Bush in office did not prevent 9/11 from happening. And no one is upset at Trump for stating the obvious.

LOL

Here's the Bush Rove GOPe fake out on the Carson Iowa push poll:

Red Steel wrote: This poll was designed to get Ben Carson ahead of Donald Trump. Bloomberg and the Des Moines Register asked a serious of questions that are overwhelmingly favorable for Carson.

It's a big time push poll:

I'll bet blacks won't vote for Carson.

So 70% on common sense and 62% on God....well that sounds like the same as with obuma and Hillary and obuma and Romney....

Ever since I read that this Mike guy who took over Bush's campaign and was over Romney's campaign, made the comment he is going to take out ads of how Trump is lying and all this other stuff, just like he did against obuma, Carson's poll numbers have gone up....

So is it him and his dirty campaign tactics, or is it the GOPe pitting Carson against Trump now...then the next one will be Cruz, I have to wonder about all of this, doesn't feel right...

Primaries not Caucuses (one man one vote)

Caucuses are far superior to "open primaries" You didn't mention that.

Bloomberg and the Des Moines Register understand the audience or the people being polled that those questions would put Carson in a favorable light since many of them came up during Carson’s campaign. They knew full well that those questions would go over well with Conservatives since they already saw the past reactions from Rs. These liberal in the media are very slick indeed.

The glaring fact that most people don’t realize, or think through, is that Carson (nor Cruz) has any resources/connections/power/etc. to defend themselves and stay the course if they get the nomination. They’ll quickly get pushed into a corner, marginalized, then vanquished.

Only Trump posses this ability and resources. Vote for anyone else and you’re going to end up with Tippy Toes Yep, which means Hilary in the end.

I love Ben and Ted, but they can’t beat the establishment (DNC, RNC, media) in the end.

“I don’t think Iowa has a good record of selecting the nominee
I think Iowa has selected Huckabee and Pat Robertson
Iowa may be a swing state but
Iowa Republicans seen to place a premium on Christianity

So maybe it does make sense”

Yeah but Carson is a 7th Day Adventist. Most major Protestant denominations consider them to be a borderline cult.

I am not casting any stones, I just don’t think that is it.

You just thwarted today’s MSM meme with the Iowa Carson push poll.

I caught a Rove GOPe troll (Freeper Longbow1969) pushing the “Carson is surging because of Trump’s 911 comments” meme.

That was going to be the explanation for the Carson is surging fake polls.

Both are lies. Trump beat that MSM rap — even Dana Perino couldn’t believe how Trump was won that round.

And remember what Trump was essentially saying was “electing Jeb wouldn’t prevent an9/11 attack in the same way electing George W Bush didn’t prevent the 9/11 attacks...”

Thank you Red Steel for your research!

To: Personal Responsibility

Kasich was supposed to be the new golden boy after the first debate. He rather flopped.

Fiorina was supposed to be the new golden girl after the second debate. She rather dropped like a rock.

Rubio and Bush seem to be battling for 5th place. A bunch of others that few could name are battling for next-to-last, because none want to be in last place.

==

And there is the fact that Iowa has not been a very good predictor of future Republican nominees.

IIRC, excluding incumbent presidents, they have selected the person who went on to be president only one (1) time since about 1976.

Question 2 is clearly negative. Only a trump cultist would think otherwise. In a man running for President of the United States, it is a negative that he has no foreign policy experience.

The questions about Muslims, faith in God, and guns and the Holocaust have an ambiguous valence. They will be negative to some, and positive to others.

Yes. Sundance at the Conservative Treehouse was absolutely correct when he figured out Rove’s “GOPe Roadmap to 2016 Victory” for Jeb.

It meant that ALL of the candidates, including Cruz and Carson, were shilling for Jeb.

Rove and the Bush GOPe had to adjust their carefully created “roadmap” because Trump completely foiled their plan.

So now they have to lie.

I think the Freeper GOPe trolls are being sent here to try to make it seem like Carson is beating Trump because they are freaked out that Trump’s numbers ONLY WENT UP AFTER HIS 9/11 comments. They can’t believe they cannot use George W Bush’s 9/11 posturing anymore.

So, they cheated these Carson push polls. They put up a Jeb employee to ask Trump questions at the “No Labels” convention. (No Labels is a Bush Rove fake movement from 2010, btw; created to try to counteract Tea Party). So now they have to try to say that Trump is losing to Carson because of what he said about Bush -— but it is a lie. Trump’s comments only made him more popular.

Only paid trolls who argue with conservatives to try to figure out how to game us.

If you really, seriously think that, then I suggest a switch to a different brand of tinfoil. That cheap dollar-store stuff may not me workin' for ya.

But Dr. Carson also chose to be "independent" here, voting only in the general elections every 2 years.

Independent does not equal liberal. There are plenty of Freepers who claim they are changing their registration to independent. I agree with you, that it is better to pick a party to be able to vote in the primaries. Bob Novak registered Democrat in DC for that reason. I don't know much about Carson's life in Maryland, but the Republicans are not all that competitive in large swaths of it.

Carson never claimed to be a big time party guy. Trump has been even more "all over the place". I have my issues with Carson, but being a non-Dem who has not been a card carrying member of the Republican Party for long is not one of them.
