The weapon could be used in Putin's brutal onslaught against ISIS which was stepped up yesterday as Russian jets smashed 27 jihadi hotspots.

Moscow has launched a ruthless campaign on the terror group in a bid to wipe them out forever.

Russian airstrikes were said to have hit 71 armoured vehicles, 30 other vehicles, 19 command facilities, 2 communication centres, 23 depots with fuel and ammunition, 6 plants used to make car bombs, several artillery pieces and training camps.

Russia's bombings have weakened the morale of militants and have sent thousands on the run, according to the country's defence ministry.

"Using lasers that BLIND enemy troops VIOLATES international law. Period."

Why do they cheer such things on? They'd love to start using such methods themselves (besides their advocacy for buggering prisoners and everyone else).

See the "conservative" (according to them) portion...

That's what big government spending got us: a fascist cult of personality.

"The device doesn’t cause an irreversible impact on human eyesight, a representative of the manufacturer told RIA Novosti."

News that we can trust, if we're government-linked commie folks. ;-D

If anyone understands the use of terror to meet national goals it's the Russians. The have several hundred years of historical example they can draw from.

Remember what happened in Lebanon when a Russian diplomat was kidnapped. SPETNATZ killed every living thing in the terror group's home village including livestock. The Imam of the group's son was taken then returned in non-working order with assembly required.

The Russians got their man back alive and well.

I’m wondering, did Russia sign on to it?

Thanks. You’d think they *could* tone it down just
enough so it would just be temporary.

That’s above my pay grade. Lasers aren’t very forgiving if they’ aimed in the eye to cause harm.

Yes, Russia did sign on to it.

I am NOT defending that that law, but it IS the law. I forgive all those who have attacked me for pointing that out.
