Donald Trump says that if he had been president in 2001, his immigration policies would have kept terrorists from attacking the World Trade Center on September 11.
"I am extremely, extremely tough on illegal immigration. I'm extremely tough on people coming into this country," Trump said on Fox News Sunday. "I believe that if I were running things, I doubt those families would have -- I doubt that those people would have been in the country."

We’re about to take in a lot more Tsarnaevs before the next president is sworn in.
Our immigration laws haven’t been enforced properly in years. It’s more of a focused punishment for people who follow the laws. Easy enough to believe that common sense enforcement could have prevented 9/11.
No, no, Trump don’t get it. During war time you have to be ready to call any American volunteering to secure our homeland borders, vigilantes!
If Trump had been president, Katrina would have turned out to sea. Or maybe have just gone pfffttt and dissipated when he spoke.
I expect he would not have said, “Heck of a job” to head of FEMA!
The pro-Bush dynasty crowd has shown up.
Go get um Jedi!

Actually 9/11 was Clinton’s fault
Trump should blame him not Bush
What difference does it make???
Hmmmmm.....
Bush should have blamed Clinton! Now Obama is blaming Bush, when Hillary gets in office she can blame Obama and Bush, and after that the next Bush can go back to blaming Clinton or Obama and on and on we go!
Of course by it won't even matter by then as we'll be a billion zillion in debt and they'll have turned the Alamo in Texas into a prenatal clinic for illegal aliens.
Yippeeee!!
The 9/11 hijackers came here on student or tourist visas. I’ve read through Trump’s immigration plan, and see no restrictions on either. So, how, exactly, would Trump’s policies have stopped 9/11? (Not that Trump ever backs up his “bold statements”, but I figured I’d ask).
Gimme a break. That pic was taken way back in the 90s and has no bearing in today’s events.
Most of them had already overstayed their Visas, making them illegal aliens. Furthermore, their Visas were shoddy in and of themselves and should never have been approved. They had fake city names, large areas that were blank, flimsy reasons for being in the country at all.
Several had overstayed their visas. Also, hadn’t a couple raised the concerns of an FBI agent for taking flight lessons to take off - but not to land? With an administration that takes immigration issues seriously, such concerns would have been less likely to have been blown off
Bush had multiple warnings given to him about an incoming attack. They were even on the radar screen of the FBI, who did nothing.
