French train attack hero Spencer Stone was stabbed four times in the chest in Sacramento early Thursday
Footage of the incident shows him fighting off a group of three men who flee the scene shortly after one of the men starts stabbing Stone Stone, 23, was with three girlfriends and one male friend and had just left the gay bar Badlands when the attack occurred Authorities are now searching for two adult Asian males who drove away in a dark Toyota Camry

Asian = Middle-Eastern or ?
Don’t forget this is an article from an English paper. In England the term “asian” is almost universally meant to indicate a person from the “subcontinent”, I.e. Paakistani, Indian, Afghani, and so on. It can also mean middle eastern. One thing it doesn’t mean is Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Pilippino.
Because they refer to the region as “the orient”.
The Brits are more precise in their general use of geography.
Actually, those subdivisions were taught in the United States at least as recently as when I took third grade geography. 1969.

Quite right! We should all know that it doesn’t mean any of those.
Having been in a few bar fights it looks to me like Stone was a willing participant and not the victim of an unexpected attack.

European press always refers to middle eastern as asian..
Their moms were there. It would not have been tacky to have a serious girlfriend present at the various press conferences.

They, also, use Asian to call/define people from the Middle East, mainly those we call Arabic. At a bible study, one time, a Brit couple even referred to Mary/Joseph and the Magi as Asians. Another Brit couple afterwards, said that was the Brit PC language to avoid the sin of Profiling.
Along that line, we have met/got to know several Persian/ Iranians, who fled Iran after the Islamofascists took over. They want to be called Persians. They despise the scum who took over their country.

Ok, out of a nation of 360+ million, I am supposed to believe that in the space of 10 days, two of the three heroes of the French train incident have been involved in separate traumatic incidents. One attended classes at a community college where 10 people were murdered (he just happened not to be there THAT day) and one is attacked outside a bar...

If he is gay, why the fight? I used to go to gay bars all over PA and Jersey with my boyfriend (DJ) and there were NEVER any fights. Just drama. LOL

Stone was with three girls, and some reports say he got in the fight because some of the perps were harrassing one of the girls.
How you could call those three tough guys “effeminate” is beyond me.
Why would they have American girlfriends in photos taken in France?? The guys were traveling together. Even if they had girlfriends who flew halfway around the world for the ceremony, why would they be invited into the photo? That would be odd.
Please don’t assume that last night’s incident is anything more than some 20-somethings out on the town and in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Sorry, most adults just don’t do that.
