In an interview with Fox News Latino, Rubio, a Florida Republican, said that he didn’t think Trump’s offensive remarks about Latinos would alienate the electorate from the GOP. At the same time, he said, Trump has to be held accountable for his controversial comments and positions.
Rubio expressed exasperation over the billionaire’s antics, and said the election needed to be focused on substance and details about what policies a candidate would push and try to implement if elected president.
“He’s going to do what he’s going to do,” Rubio said. “This campaign is about serious things.”

Marco Rubio is a candidate for only one nationality - or rather ethnicity - La Raza, “the Race.”
That is the only allegiance Rubio pledges himself to. He is Cuban first, Hispanic second ... America the Beautiful is somewhere out in the back forty of his thinking, other than his preoccupation with turning this country into his “motherland” Cuba.

Many think that Trump will hand off to Cruz.
My answer to that is why should he? He is the one leading at the moment.

I believe the only thing Trump and Cruz are doing is to swallow up a bunch of delegates to keep the GOPe from forcing their candidate on us.
I do not think Trump is going to hand off to Cruz if he is in the lead. If he is not, he will hand off.
Cruz will probably do the same.

These people are delusional. He doesn’t work as hard as he is to hand it off to anyone - even Cruz.

The difference between the two of them is that when Jeb speaks pseudo-conservative GOP boilerplate in English and "viva La Raza" rhetoric in Spanish, Jeb is most likely just channeling his wife.
Rubio says Trump can’t win. How often is Rubio wrong? Maybe he knows something we don’t.
