TODAY IN THE GRANITE STATE: Less than one week after the deadly shooting at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, Hillary Clinton is set to propose a series of gun control measures she would enact if elected president, ABC's LIZ KREUTZ reports. Clinton's plan, which she plans to unveil at campaign events in New Hampshire today, comes two days after the Democratic presidential candidate blasted Republicans for putting "the NRA ahead of American families," and just hours after her Democratic challenger, Martin O'Malley, called on both Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders to back his plan to reduce gun violence, which he announced last month.
--WHAT CLINTON'S PLAN WOULD DO: Clinton's plan will continue calls for universal background checks and for the ban of military-style assault weapons from the streets. In addition, it will call for a crackdown on the sale of guns on the Internet and at gun shows -- something Clinton will say she will even take executive action to do. It will also push for legislation to prevent gun sales from going through without completed background checks (dubbed the "Charleston Loophole"), and for legislation to prohibit domestic abusers and stalkers from buying and possessing guns. And it will call for repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, in order to make sure dealers and manufacturers are held accountable for negligence when crimes are committed with products they've sold....

nothing about punishing the criminals though...
How do you buy a gun on the Internet? I want to try that.
Oh, come on. You can’t let the facts stand in the way, can you? /sarc
Even students know presidents do not ENACT the laws, they ENFORCE them.
“And it will call for repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, in order to make sure dealers and manufacturers are held accountable for negligence...”
Soooo...as a deposit holder in Wells Fargo, if a bank robber robs a WF bank, I can sue Chevrolet because the get-away car was a Chevy Volt?
STUPID is as STUPID does!
Peanut butter kills some people. How about suing the growers of peanuts???
Guns do not kill——People do.
The growth of mentally disturbed people being pushed into the general populace along with a revolving door justice system in the USA has produced these results.
Teddy Kennedy’s Oldsmobile has killed more people than any gun my family has every owned. Going to sue General Motors???
Get a Grip, Liberals.
Hillary is NOT the solution.
She would instruct her minions to take them with no due process whatever. (and they would obey)
IMHO
I’m sitting here fantasizing, truly and deeply, about the electric shock of joy that will course through my veins when she is indicted. It will be like the night Zimmermam was acquitted and I was watching FOX news and one of Obama’s sons was conspicuously following the camera with his arms crossed and this look of disgust and anger on his face. I was screaming joyfully at the top of my lungs vile unprintable things, and loving every second of it.
Any firearm “purchased on the Internet” must be sent to a licensed firearm dealer (FFL) before buyer can get it. All necessary paperwork is done, including background check before firearm can be obtained.
Do you see one thing in her plan that would have prevented the Community College shooting? Makes as much sense as a plan where Monika Lewinsky should have been required to wear a burka.
Or having yourself castrated because your next door neighbor has too many children!
Well good luck with that Hillary. Those laws you mentioned are already in place. Ban assault weapons from being on the street? You are continually showing your ineptness as a presidential contender. Just what group are you pandering to? Right, the media and all those ‘feel good’ folks.
with the reality and present of 3d printing, coil guns etc.
There is no more “real control”, this is about thought control. The left wants only city dwellers to be voters.
We need one county one vote.
Check out the stats for Kennesaw, GA where every household is required by law to have a gun! I read not long ago that an “out of towner” tried to stick up a convenience store there and had something on the order of more that a dozen guns pointed at him by the patrons. I’d pay money to see that live!
“How do you buy a gun on the Internet? I want to try that.”
It has to be delivered to an actual gun shop and you get the background check through them. We’ve done it.
