Donald Trump does not trust Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he is supportive of one thing Putin is doing on the world stage.
During an interview with "Meet The Press" Sunday, Trump told moderator Chuck Todd that he supports Putin going out and "bombing the hell" out of the Islamic State in Syria, despite that they are doing so to support Syrian President Bashir al-Assad.
"I like that Putin is bombing the hell out of ISIS, and it's going to be ISIS. I'll tell you why Putin has to get rid of ISIS because Putin doesn't want ISIS coming into Russia," said Trump, who leads the Washington Examiner's latest power rankings.
However, Trump made it clear that he does not trust the Russian president when pressed by the host.
"I don't trust him," Trump said. "I don't trust him at all other than we both got very good ratings the other night on '60 Minutes' 'cause it was with me and Putin. Can you believe this? So I don't know. Did I get the ratings or did he?"
"It's not a question of trust," Trump said. "We've spent now we've spent $2 trillion in Iraq, probably $1 trillion in Afghanistan. We're in there we're destroying our country. We owe $19 trillion, we're bogged down. Russia was bogged down in Afghanistan, meaning the Soviet Union. It broke up the Soviet Union. They're going to get bogged down, you watch."
"I would sit back and lets see what's going on," Trump said. "I'm not justifying Putin, but you watch he'll get bogged down there. He'll be there, he'll spend a fortune, he'll be begging to get out."
Well, boycott, I’m hoping conservatives of various degrees in the GOP can ultimately come together and select a credible nominee that can win in 2016. This country simply cannot withstand another Democrat in the White House at this time. The Deficit/Debt SHOULD be at the top of the list of priorities, as should National Security. I realize that the illegal immigration issue has taken center stage for many but, given that the majority of GOP candidates are consistent on the primary need for tight border control and security, as well as a process that will allow a proportion of illegals already here a pathway to toward some kind of legal status, I’m not going to make illegal immigration THE issue that decides who I ultimately support. What strikes me is that I’ve not seen such a qualified group of GOP candidates in the running in my lifetime, yet we’re witnessing more DIVISION within the conservative ranks than ever.
I don't think there's any question about it.
If there is a good viable candidate that can win, I’ll take a close look. I am not seeing it yet.

Who were Chechen - consistent with my main point here.
AND the Oregon shooter
If you have a reputable source for this - not Russian FSB, SRV.. - please post.
Well, there ISN’T one because they all either mouth the same old PC crap or have no money and must kowtow to the GOPe for campaign funding.
Of ALL those declared for office so far,I’ll gladly vote for TRUMP.
If you don't have a second choice, then I guess you're stuck with a Loser. :)
Best regards in any case. Thanks for your reply and discussion.
I am curious though about your statement: “they all either mouth the same old PC crap or have no money and must kowtow to the GOPe for campaign funding.”
I can see it for some, maybe most, but *all*?
Which one(s) other than Trump speak the truth AND have enough campaign funds without GOP assistance?
I think some of the Founders warned against political parties.
I think Cruz is one obvious answer to your question.
But “without GOP assistance?”
I’m GOP and I’m assisting. Local elected officials across the nation are supporting and assisting Cruz, and they’re GOP. There’s a lot of good conservative folks that are GOP.
