Yahoo Finance ^ | 9/28 | Michael Bender

Criticized by Republican presidential rivals as having a loose grip on policy, Donald Trump will lay out a tax plan on Monday that he said will increase the burden on hedge fund managers, cut rates for corporations and the middle class, and eliminate payments for more of the poor.

I like the idea that he's putting some meat out there, but if this plan isn't clear - all it's going to do is give the opposition one rallying cry:

Sounds great, but how do you pay for it??

You pay for the plan by putting people to work. That way, the gov pays less out in freebies. "No taxes" for the middle class would mean no federal income taxes. That money saved could be spent on goods with a slaes tax. It'll be spent on US made goods or on goods that paid a heavy tax (tariff) if the prices of foreign-made goods are unfairly manipulated.

Hedge fund managers manipulate the market and make billions and don't pay taxes. Make them pay.

It isn't rocket science. Do we have a situation where corporations want low taxes for themselves, but not for individual taxpayers? US citizens are fed up with the "trickle up" economy that's destroying the US.

Lets start with Corporate tax cuts which will bring companies and their revenue streams under code. Today they harbor in other countries to avoid our punitive rates, the highest in the world

All part of the plan, cheap labor pools to be exploited for products we buy like sheep for cheap and the consumption engine runs...

They want to be US based and all of that but not how it is today...

Just one example

Thje tax code by its very nature breeds costs to companies and individuals, in my opinion after a lot of research shows we should not be paying tax on income we make from working. That is a net even trade of time/services for pay, no net gain. Income tax was a wealth tax on investment income NOT personal but we are talking Wilsonian progressive “for the children” times and the rise of Sangers “Planned Parenthood” (population control and management) by the elites

So in closing there is more money that will come in legally and gladly than is currently happening

And as to the hedge fund crowd, they are the punks playing in derivatives which were a core element of the 2008 Financial bailout

And they are still playing that game...

So many criminals, we may have to make the punishments far more severe...

I can only hope

It matters not what tax plan is out there. The complaint will be the same, “Tax cuts for the 1%.”

The details will make no difference. I’d like Trump to get behind the Fair Tax. But to fully implement it, it would need a constitutional amendment. Trump might be somebody that could pull that off. That would certainly increase my interest in his candidacy.

Any tax plan that does not include 100% participation is a failure.

We can debate different levels of participation at different levels of income. Fine.

But if some people are paying nothing, then their motivation will be to have MORE government spending. Then future elections will have both sides seeking to have LESS people paying taxes and MORE government spending.

Trump’s taxation plan is feeble. Surprising since his immigration and gun plans are very solid.

I don’t know. I think everyone should have skin in the game. I don’t much like the idea of some people not having to pay any taxes at all. We’re all part of the same club...dues are due.

Agree. Flat tax rate - you make less, you pay less. Everyone should pay something.

Yes, we need the Flat Tax, and a return to the voting standards under which the nation was founded.

No Tax, no vote.

He has the best immigration and gun plans of any candidate. If he sticks close to what he proposed in his book “Time To Get Tough” on taxes, he will also have the best Tax Plan.

Pundits are always spinning that Trump is just bluster, but he has the most solid proposals of any candidate.

Yep. I’m looking forward to Cruz’s immigration plan. Other than massive increase he proposes in the H-1B Visa program of course.

All three cable networks are carrying Obama speaking at the U.N. I think Trump picked a bad time for his news conference.

First learn to read.

Then read the book written by the only legitimate candidate in the race, entitled “Time For Truth.”

Kills those imaginary crickets that are spoiling your sleep.

It's too bad!

He wants to use IRS, just like the rest inside the beltway, to pick and choose winners and losers.
