Billionaire investor Carl Icahn told Bloomberg News that he's endorsing Donald Trump because he's the sort of leader the US needs at this time.
"I disagree on certain points I dont want to get into, Im sure those can be worked out, but the basic thing is, you need somebody that can get things going in Congress, and I think he can do it. You need somebody that understands business, and I think he understands it," Icahn told Bloomberg.
Shortly after Trump launched his campaign, the candidate appeared on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." On the show, the billionaire real-estate magnate said that he knows "the smartest guys on Wall Street" and the "best negotiators."

I thought Icahn had accepted Trump’s offer to be Treasury secretary back in August.
Statements as stupidly irrational as that one are a window into the twisted thinking of Trump haters.
Trump said he would like someone like Icahn in Treasury and Icahn jokingly said no at first (said he didn’t get up early enough) and then jokingly accepted after the first debate IIRC.
Thanks, I kind of wondered if that was real. Icahn is 79.
He's a hedge fund manager himself.
Read his Wiki or other bio site for yourself. I'm a Trump supporter, but he can do better than to align himself so closely with the likes of Icahn.

Another poke in the eye of Fox News.
It doesn’t necessarily follow that Icahn supported him for the Presidency more than someone else.
