Donald Trump has two words to describe a recent spate of articles that suggested he may be losing steam in the Republican presidential primary: "dishonest reporting."
"Very dishonest and the people understand that," Trump said in a conversation with Business Insider
...by CNN, Politico, and The Washington Post used recent polls from Quinnipiac and CNN/ORC to argue that the surge that propelled Trump to the head of the GOP pack may be ending....
CNN's Eric Bradner came in with a story of his own a few hours later. Bradner said the Quinnipiac poll "reinforce[d] a recent CNN/ORC poll that showed an ascendant Fiorina..."
That story was headlined, in part, "Donald Trump lead shrinks."
The Washington Post's Philip Bump was up next...the claim that "Donald Trump's slide in the polls is beginning to look real."
Business Insider reached out... Trump's campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said the media is motivated to diminish Trump's standing.
"Look, I think the media in general wants to have a narrative that this race is either tighter than it really is," Lewandowski said. "Or they want to propel other candidates into the forefront because they know that Mr...
"If you were any other candidate in this race, you would welcome the opportunity to have Mr. Trump's poll numbers," he said.
Trump and his team pointed to a slew of polls to dispute the notion that he's losing steam...
"It's dishonest reporting and let me change it it's knowingly dishonest," Trump said. "Because the polls speak for themselves. I'm up. Check out Zogby. Check out Reuters the Reuters what do they call that? The Reuters average..."
All of the polls show Trump well ahead...
In addition to these national numbers, ... Specifically, they identified an Iowa poll by PPP and a Sunshine State poll...

That's ok. As Trump is the best fighter in this election.
Here's a poll that never gets mentioned in the liberal and RINO press. It's a 5 day rolling poll with 550 to 600 respondents on a daily basis.
I don't even think Rooooters ever mentions it in their own articles. Notice it includes 2 days after the last debate.
The MSM and GOPe will not rest until they destroy Trump.
Medved once worked directly for a Communist.
Yeah. I have been saying the same thing for a while. The truth is that his poll are slipping a bit. He needs to minimize the cat fights. Trump also needs to focus more on the issues and introduce his policies at the debates.
I can’t disagree with any of your comments. And, as you point out and the MSM doesn’t seem to notice, the Carly Debate Bounce appears to be fading fast. I hope it continues.
Telling Michael Bloomberg what he wants to hear and likely shaded for that result.
However, state-wise, he's pretty much where he's always been. A lot of shuffling at #2. I don't see him "slipping" at all.
Even if true, the only relevant measure is his LEAD over #2. It was 6 points just before the debate. Where is it today?
"Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 5h5 hours ago Dishonest @politico just called to say that none of the polls including Fox, NBC, CNN, Zogby, & Morning Consult matter. Serious haters."
So Trump’s lead in this is 23!!
Where do you find this?
Pretty hard to introduce anything at the debate when all the questions are not “what would you do about?” but “attack Trump.” It’s not just Trump, no candidate can seem to get his policies out-—which, of course, is the design.
Wait until he gets his ducks in a row, closer to nomination time when Bush, Crispy Cream, Rand Paul, Snarly Carly, Rubio, Kasich, Pataki and the others are gone and there is only Cruz, Carson and Trump left....
Then and only then will you see the time of your life...I think there is a big huge surprise awaiting us then, and your not going to believe it until you see it..
It is going to shut the libs, msm, talking heads, ‘money bags’ Soros, super pacs down so far they won't know what hit them, and there won't be nothing left for them to do but to cry..
Yes it is 23% over his nearest rival that was on the 18th Sept for the five day rolling poll. I believe Reuters doesn’t publish their day-to-day results, but will after a couple of weeks or month or so of the aggregated, day-to-day results.
This is about 2800 to ~3000 respondents for 5 days that shows 36.8% for Trump.
In comparison, what did CNN have in their last poll? I believe I saw only 300 polled for the whole nation. A minuscule sample size.

And read #36 too. :-)
I'd like more vision, less who's winning and who's a jerk.
Did you watch the speech? Most of it was the content you want: Common Core, Iran, trade, religious freedom.
Trump wasn't there very long be he did hit about 31 on the RCP average. And, AFIK, RCP is the gold standard for poll averages. If there is a better one someone should point it out.
And, for the record, I'm not picking on Trump. Just pointing out the facts.
Here is the RCP data:
