I’m afraid that is the way I see it, too. Sadly.
As a convert, I was received into Holy Mother Church by Sacred Scripture, the Holy Spirit, the recorded history of the saints and the popes of yester year, in the Magisterium and I miraculously saw her proven. But, the Church has suffered gravely an onerous pope or two, and here we are again.
Today, the orthodox Catholics in the USA, barely have a home, my friend. We endure to the end and suffer what God allows in a crashing, clanging world.
This papa seems to make Charity into welfare, Mercy into license, globalism into utopia, global warming climate change into one world government, all of it into a state of utopian living that shall never come, by the hand of man. He is entertaining arguments for all manner of evil behaviors, in the name of “diologue”, giving “dignity” to open sinners and shameful patience with their open sin.
Least is said against abortion. (One sentence.) Nothing is said about the atrocities of Planned Parenthood, nor against its lefty leadership, which is brimming with the Left/Marxists/communists.
A horrifying time for the devout. Many will leave thinking the faith is subjective to the Pope and to the direction of the Church under his shepherding. I will remain, knowing the Church and the faith is greater than a single wayward pope, clear as crystal, and that the pope is subjected to these things that are true, as am I.
But, yes, to your point the Church in the USA is in extreme crisis, soon to be filled with all manner of foreign gods. I pray to be able to stand. None want to suffer underground faith.

I watched the speech on EWTN and the Catholic priest below, who’s about as orthodox as you can get, set the pope and everyone else straight on the death penalty. The death penalty is allowed in the Catholic Church and will be as long as this world stands. Francis might not like it, but there’s not one thing he can do about it.

I swear, on the outer Capitol balcony, Boehner looked unhinged with tears and uncontrollable emotion. What is wrong with him to totally break down in virtually all poignant moments?
All of the Conservative Catholic members of the SCOTUS were not present.
He mentioned protecting family and protecting life but seemed like he just couldn't go that extra step and say unborn child and man and woman, although I honestly think that's what he meant.
But as a Catholic I was disappointed to say the least. Then again, as an American I am beyond disappointed with my President. I am not blindly obedient to anyone. I will remain respectful to this Pope. But I will say this — in Mass I find it odd that more than one Priest I know, when they read what Francis has written, he is 100% prolife, 100% against gay marriage, but he comes across as wishy washy in person. And I honestly don't think he knows what a Community Organizer is in Obamas America. It doesn't mean what Obama thinks it means in my parish.

Technically correct. He is leader of the House, therefore he extended the invite on behalf of the House.
However, it was Obama, agreeing and conspiring with his Dem, liberal and marxist circle of intimate advisors, who was behind His Holiness' visit....and their reasons were not religious.
The reason and the timing for the visit is palpably evident...to further the progressive, marxist social justice agenda as it pertains to certain current issues such as unfettered immigration.

This is what we Catholics hear from this pope all the time. Confusion, misspeak, misinterpretation, critical ambiguity, rephrasing by underlings to the pope, and open to any man’s interpretation.
There is nothing attributed to the Catholic faith, the saints, the Sacred Scriptures, the Church Fathers, past continuity of understanding, than a small dot to the “i”, an apostrophe to a plural, or a period ending a sentence.
All is graffiti. We Catholics are in danger, particularly in the West, and guilty at the same time. Thankfully, our Shepherd in Heaven has warned us. We know the signs and we have Fatima.
We are witnessing the NWO crowd circling the wagons to try and stop conservatives from actually gaining power.
Notice I said conservatives and not republicans. Because Bonehead and the other leaders of the GOP are NOT conservatives they are all closet leftists that completely support the world wide leftist agenda.
I think the Pope is suggesting we have our own illegal invasion of all other countries.

I am certain your details are correct. Boehner did not provide independent credit for himself in issuing this invitation.
Read above where the invitation has been an open invitation to the pope, for years. It was this pope who happily obliged.
Who knows how personal the invitation was, since it has been open to all popes.
