Trump grows Iowa lead as 69 per cent of the state's Republicans agree with his claim Obama is 'waging a war on Christianity' – but 3 in 10 also think Islam should be OUTLAWED

Survey of Iowa Republicans found Donald Trump leads the field with 24 per cent, followed by Ben Carson at 17 and Carly FIorina at 13 Trump has picked up five points since the first debate in Cleveland; Everyone else in the GOP Iowa Caucus race is mired in single digits Trump's staying power might be rooted in the state's deep religious roots, with 54 per cent of Republicans describing themselves as 'evangelicals' Sixty-nine per cent agree with Trump's complaint that President Obama is waging a 'war on Christianity' Another 30 per cent believe Islam should be illegal Donald Trump has emerged none the worse for wear in Iowa after last week's Republican primary debate, leading in the all-important first caucus state according to a statewide poll released Tuesday.

Trump's recent emphasis on religion – he carried a Bible on stage at Saturday's 'Faith and Freedom Forum' in Des Moines and sat down for a multi-part interview last week with the Christian Broadcasting Network? – has borne fruit In Iowa's deeply religious farm country.

Fifty-four per cent of Republicans surveyed by Public Policy Polling said they were evangelical Christians. Sixty-nine percent said they agree with Trump's complaint that President Barack Obama is waging a 'war on Christianity.'

Another 30 per cent told pollsters they believe the religion of Islam should be 'illegal in the United States.' That position bolsters Dr. Ben Carson, the poll's second-place finisher, who said on Sunday that he wouldn't support the election of a Muslim as America's president because Islam is 'inconsistent' with the U.S. Constitution.

You may not be a fan of all of The Donald’s past adventures and all his policies, but he seems to be the only one willing to really push back in an unconventional way.

Push back in a way that works. Some of the others try, but Trump has figured out how to be effective.

Outstanding!

Very true, I read recently that a group of Christians who came here for sanctuary were sent back (or will be real soon) to where they come from where many Christians have been persecuted

Obama has made it clear where his loyalties lie:

In “Audacity of Hope” he (Obama or Wm Ayers for BHO) writes: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of “The Audacity of Hope.
Of course that statement also says he will NOT help Christians as has been proved over and over again.

Yet the pope of Catholicism just arrived and greeted Obama with love.

Think the pope will call Obama on his apparent (actual) policies that will NOT protect Christians? I won't hold my breath,...

Looking back at 30 years of nothing but corruption out of D.C. with a 30 year declining performance record, is simply mind bending. I’m surprised Trump to be up into the 80+ percent.

Of course this is probably due to the millions of government bureaucrats and corrupt MSM types being polled.

About that part, making Islam illegal in the US. Not as a religion, but as a subversive organization, much like the Mafia or other organized criminal activities. The long-range plan, like that of the Communists in the past, is to use stealth and subversion to take control of the government by force, sabotaging and destroying many of the vital parts of infrastructure, in financial, economic or just plain open terrorism, causing chaos and consternation in every quarter, up to and including open warfare in the streets.

Executions and bribery, kidnappings and ransom, work stoppages on vital operations, intimidation and destruction in the workplace, or even all-out frontal assaults on military and police posts.

If anyone declares they are both Muslim and an American citizen, then they shall have to renounce all efforts to establish Shari’ah law or to live by its provisions, and agree to abide ONLY by the legal system now in place in the United States of America and the several states.

If that means they cannot be Muslims any more, then the objective was achieved. If it means Islam must fundamentally change, then a longer-term goal may yet be gained. If Islam cannot be changed, then all practicing Muslims must leave the country, regardless of the state of their citizenship, even birthright citizens or converts of a native-born lineage.

There is no room in America for a bloodthirsty agenda, and its adherents will be prosecuted as unregenerate and habitual criminals. Penalty in all instances - expulsion from US territory, upon pain of death if return is ever contemplated. WE do not care if they have to row around in circles out in the middle of the Atlantic ocean.

Not coming back or ever to be allowed in.

Some people are just not GOOD enough to be Americans.

Trump is a genius. I keep saying that, but man, he is. He gets a bunch of flack for the whole Obama is a muslim thing and he turns to an obvious fact: Obama IS waging a war against Christianity. And who would do that? A Catholic? A protestant? A jew? A hindu? A buddhist? No, the only one that WOULD do that is an atheist OR a Muslim.

You are right - that’s an ingenious way of saying he’s not a Christian, without saying it. It draws people to what Obama is doing rather than what he is saying.

“but 3 in 10 also think Islam should be OUTLAWED.”

Well, FDR, the liberal’s sainted president, didn’t allow Nazis to immigrate to the US. So why would we allow Hitler’s henchmen and ally - the Muslims - into the US? The only conclusion I can draw is that democrats are Nazis.

Liberals are so damn stupid that it makes my head hurt.

here is the poll

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/2015/PPP_Release_IA_92215.pdf

and their summary
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2015/09/trump-still-leads-iowa-clinton-in-good-shape.html

Romney was included and got 7%
Kasich 2% and 2% second choice. A poor IA showing would hurt his effort in New Hampshire.

Cruz is struggling with Evangelicals.

Pope Francis is a Peronista Marxist! A modernist heretic. He and Obama have much in common - both believe that “inequality is the root of all social evil” That remark is a direct quote taken from the official Twitter page of Pope Francis.

Pope Francis is also in favor of One World Government.

He thinks anthropogenic climate change is real.

He ties his horse to population control advocates, and atheists alike.

He thinks air conditioners are a luxury that should be curtailed.

He smiles a sh*t eating grin when receiving from a fellow Marxist a “sculpture” that depicts Jesus Christ crucified on a communist hammer and sickle!

He has no misgivings whatsoever about having openly homosexual clergy run the Vatican Bank, particularly when they are his personal friend and house attendant - even after they have been caught with a boy prostitute ... But then, “who am I to judge?”
