Donald Trump stands at 32 percent favorability right now, according to the latest Morning Consult tracking poll. Hugh Hewitt joins Morning Joe to discuss.

This thing is Trumps to loose. If he amps up his message while toning down the NY City personal pettiness, he will gain additional traction.
I don’t expect that to happen. If it does I’ll vote for him.
I’ll vote. I’ll write someone in.
>>Just wondering what you KNEW about this which was posted and now I understand. <<
I predicted Walker and see Cruz on the same trajectory. He can’t get traction and his message is muddled.
As was noted above, the numbers speak loudly. And Cruz is smart enough to understand them. As I said, Christie and others are too dumb to read the writing on the wall.
The cheapest and best way to come out on top. The Soviets and the Nazis beat each other to a pulp, then Uncle Sam strides in and assumes the mantle of Savior of the Free World.
“Ill vote. Ill write someone in.”
And just how is that going to accomplish anything at all? It’s what I call stupidity over pragmatism!
Haha Rove’s shock and awe ad attack appears to have had the opposite effect on Trump’s numbers. Love it when Rove flops.
Agree with you about the pettiness...at first I thought making it clear he wasn’t going to be a punching bag was very good strategy. And then the first debate certainly deserved some push back.
I liked what Maureen Dowd said (rather respectfully I thought) “getting into a fight with Trump is like getting thrown into a bag of badgers).
Nevertheless I agree with your point that it needs to be toned down.
Actually, according to a couple of articles, many of the big donors were not advised directly of Walker leaving the race...they found out from social media.
Yes, it appears that way on the surface. If my side wins with a bad candidates, we have won nothing. In fact we’ve actually lost. The Democrats in the end lost big with Obama. If the Republicans choose Trump he will win. If he wins we all will lose just as we did with Obama, though the particulars will be different.
I simply refuse to be a party to that.
>>Well, that is not factual at all.<<
It is factual. You just refuse to see.
>>And yet, you may have knowledge of Cruz dropping out and just don’t want to share how you have this knowledge. All else is speculation, it seems to me.<<
I said I predict it and I stand by that prediction.
>>I simply refuse to be a party to that.<<
Better to be a party to a biden presidency.
Hugh must be crestfallen. “My debate strategy failed”.
>>But if you are wrong, you realize you’ll have to be stoned as a false FR prophet.<<
Worse, if I am right I will be stoned for being a true FR prophet.
I might as well put away a fifth now, since I get stoned no matter what ;)
Word it any way you want. I see Trump as the Strong Man.
Look up Road to Serfdom.
I did....http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/20/opinions/castellanos-trump-strongman/
Jeb, is that you?
With Jebbie now in double digits, the fix is in, and the people of FL and TX will be so happy.
