From Jonathan Easley writing at The Hill: Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson is standing by his view that a Muslim should not be president of the United States, telling The Hill in an interview on Sunday that whoever takes the White House should be sworn in on a stack of Bibles, not a Koran.

Why does Trump get credit for what someone else said? Politically correct pabulum is all that Trump has so far offered on the moslem issue.
Not so
Trolling along?
Not a religious test for president.
A test of a candidate’s loyalty to the country and its Constitution. Islam is an organization committed to overthrowing existing governments and replacing them with the Caliphate and Sharia Law. Islam is primarily a subversive organization and secondarily its own Religion.
That reminds me. Why did Roberts swear Hussein in during a second private swearing in. And was it with a Koran?
Rumors swirl and I think it;s a valid statement that Muslims are encouraged to lie, and use deceit to further their cause. That is ins;t a HIGH VALUE to tell the truth...
That is still more than others, give him credit for that. Or is that too painful?
That Muslim-Legislator was Keith Ellison.
My mother and father (Kennedy/blue collar democrats) agree with Dr. Carson and Mr. Trump.
Trump and Carson are making points that are opening the eyes of democrats.
After 8 years of Obama, and choices like Clinton and Sanders to vote for, I believe that the republican candidate that isn’t afraid to point out the obvious without backing down, will win a lot of votes across the aisle.
To put it plainly: there are a LOT of democrats that are tired of the hypocrisy and lying too.
I’m still bewildered by the fact that millions of Americans, having experienced the acts 19 Muslims” voted for a person named Barak Hussein Obama, knowing full well, his Muslim heritage. I believe there was MASSIVE cheating in both elections.
That’s one thing I like about Trump.
He won’t be shy about calling out Republican Secretaries of State in places like Ohio and Florida about vote fraud.
“I heard Trump defend Carson this morning, but I would rather have heard Trump AGREE with him.”
If it was his slot on F&F, I saw it, too. Like you, I was waiting for Trump to agree with Carson. He was kind to Carson, but did not go so far as to agree with him. Trump needs to study the Constitution, put in some time thinking deeply about what Islam is, and he’ll figure it out. He’s a smart man and will see the logic.
I mean, we have a Muslim President now and Trump has seen how America has fared under him.
If you're brown and you're down, its because mean old white men took all your stuff. If you're white you're never right, you are forever responsible for the financial support of those who you subjugated.
We all know, were it not for white imperialistic colonialists, all brown poor people of the world, would be living in blissful little villages, in complete harmony with the natural world, or would have evolved into highly sophisticated modern societies characterized by prosperity and egalitarianism.
If the old Christian white guys would all just die or go away, the world would undergo a Utopian revolution that would make the Garden of Eden seem like an inner city parking lot.
yep, you right - but you already know how some around here have interpreted TC’s words. (out of context, mostly drive by comments from folks who didn’t read that article, and generally in one presidential flavoring).
Do you think a Muslim should be president?
Do you think a president should be sworn in on a copy of the Koran?
No and No. Pretty simple questions.
I was asking Sacajaweau.
