There was a Seinfeld episode where Jerry repeatedly denied being gay but was quick to add, "Not that there's anything wrong with that." This sitcom episode is being repeated, with Obama replacing Jerry and Islam replacing homosexuality.
Obama says he's not a Muslim. Fine. But if there's nothing wrong with being Muslim, what's the problem with people who erroneously say he is? After all, liberals agree with what Carly Fiorina said about Islam, right after 9/11:

islam should be outlawed in the west, mosques should be destroyed and so should mecca if areas like the United States intend to maintain their current political systems.

It is curious how the media and a few politicians (mostly of the R persuasion and vying for the position of president) have come out so defensively against a comment that was made by a private citizen.
The media grabbed the soundbite and ran with it, even though the actual ‘question’ of the citizen had to do with terrorist training camps in the US.
This certainly isn’t the first time the media has run with a half-trust or manufactured offense.
Note that these same media were certainly not defending Trump a couple of weeks ago when he was getting questioned about the sincerity or level of his religious beliefs.

The Caliphates destroyed Classical Western civilization scroll by scroll, library by library, scholar by scholar until there was only the faint image we posses today. Christianity as practiced today is also only a shadow of Christianity of the Classical world.

I keep running into this but I have no idea what it’s about??? Like I said in a post a few minutes ago, I’m catching up after my husband was in the hospital for nearly a week. Stressful time so brain needs to get back in gear.
