Donald Trump on Saturday responded to a question from CNN about whether Muslims pose a danger to the country, saying: "I love the Muslims. I think they're great people."
The Republican presidential front-runner made the comment after addressing high school students here at their homecoming Saturday night.
During a question-and-answer session with students, Trump was unable to avoid being asked about the latest political controversy dogging his campaign: his decision not to correct a supporter this week who called President Barack Obama a Muslim.
One student told Trump that she considered Muslim-Americans to be an important segment of the country. They asked whether the billionaire businessman would consider putting a Muslim in his Cabinet or on his ticket.
"Oh, absolutely," Trump responded. "No problem with that."

Almost all elected republican conservatives use words “freedom, liberty and the Constitution”.
So what have they achieved for freedom, liberty & constitution? All words and no action! I am done with stem winding speeches regarding “freedom, liberty and the Constitution” to be then followed by caving to Obama & his followers.

I thought that too. I had an ethnic Indian muslim coworker who I thought was wonderful. Until 9/11. I put a sign in my cubicle that said “God Bless America”.

Get real. Trump is saying nice things to an idealistic teenager. Then He gets back on Trump One and says no Muslims no way to his staff.

There are scads of “Christians” who believe something very different from what their bibles or sunday schools ever said. What makes “Muslims” an exception. Just curious.
I think there are different ways Trump could have addressed such an issue. To/for me the best would have been to address the issue by saying flat out that anyone he offers a position to has to be a verified believer in the US Constitution as to why It exists and as to why It alone is the supreme law of the US. By tiptoeing around the issue Trump gives me the feeling he is hardly more than a carnival barker; sad to say this.

Talking about liberty and then achieving it.
It's harder to sell the liberty point-of-view, if you don't articulate why the liberty point-of-view is desired.

Almost all Muslims basically do not respect any other religion. But my point remains valid...how many Muslim terrorists have origins in Indonesia or India? There are like 500 million or more Muslims in just those 2 countries.

Like I said, I grew up in a Muslim neighborhood in India. Do you have such first hand experience with Muslims? As I said before, almost ALL Muslim terrorists are from the middle-east and Pakistan. But there are MORE Muslims living outside of those regions, who have generally been peaceful.
