The other day I hopped off the R Train underneath the Fox News Corner of the World and came face to face with a poster promoting ABCs new interpretation of The Muppets. There, in all his glory, was Kermit the Frog touting an adult version of the beloved childrens show.
Finally. A network tv show with full frontal nudity, the poster read.
Technically, the advertisement is correct seeing how Kermit doesnt wear pants. I mean, what self-respecting frog would wear Chinos?
Still, I suspect its going to shock a lot of moms and dads when they discover that the family-friendly Muppets of the 1970s are no more.

The View?
If my girls were little today they’d be watching The Flinstones, Magilla Gorilla, Gumby and Pokey, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family and Petticoat Junction. Classics. None of these had a hint of vulgar BS. (except the open for Petticoat in the water tower)
Kind of like when Burger King decided to use Sir Mix-A-Lot to sell kid’s meals.
Did ya notice? It looks like Miss Piggy has begun her “transformation”...the suit is a dead giveaway.
I wonder if she/he/and now it/ will get an addadicktome?
I hope they dont screw this show up.
The Muppets (except for Sesame Street) are the last vestige of family-friendly entertainment that isnt boring or hasn’t been ruined by PC jackwagons..
When the Petticoat Junction girls exited the water tank, they were already dressed. Disappointing....
I never much cared for those or any puppets.
You can't tell me that this is not deliberate. We go out of our way to make sure our kids watch wholesome shows. Often that involves stuff that we grew up on...like the Muppets.
The perverts know we ain't watching their filth so they take old shows and....ahem...."update them".
No sale.
Seriously?
Whatever that Lena Dumbass is on
That’s real? Holy cow.
No, that’s a different thread
Sponge Bob, nuff said. I am glad these shows didn’t exist when my kids were small. I did not even allow my daughter to watch Barney the purple dinosaur. Thank God she wasn’t interested in it.
Personally, we like these:
Christian message, children’s puppets. Short vignettes. Well done. Don’t make the little people go bouncing off the walls like some other recent offerings I won’t name.
Watching SpongeBob Squarepants Makes Preschoolers Slower Thinkers, Study Finds
they’re not the muppets I used to watch.
