The GOP presidential debate winner Wednesday night was dominant front-runner Donald Trump, a Newsmax Poll finds.

In early results from a poll of Newsmax TV viewers, the billionaire businessman logged 64 percent support, while former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina came in second, with 12 percent.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz came in third with 6 percent.

Thanks for the INFO as I had to miss the debate. I figured they would all gang up on Trump and the CNN types would set up attacks for each against him. I was just watching Fox ( 0530-0630 hours) and like the first debate you’d think Fiorina was the leader after their BS.

Even the best polls are becoming pretty worthless at predicting anything.

If the polls were correct John Kerry would have been president in 2004. If the polls were correct, Scotland would be an independent nation today. If the polls were correct, the British labour party would have had a landslide victory a few months ago.

Trump clearly beat up Bush and took his lunch money.

I almost felt bad for Bush, but he got what he deserved.

I thought Carly Fiorina did well for herself. Ben Carson did well, and so did Cruz and Rubio.

It was clear that Cruz was a target of the moderators as well as Trump. This debate cemented in my mind that it is going to be Trump/Cruz in 2016. There was an almost unspoken agreement between the two that they would not attack each other, and would bolster each others remarks.

At Time magazine Trump was at 68%. I don’t have a link

You mean the truth? FR used to be a conservative site. Now we promote NY Democrats because they talk like NY unionists when it comes to illegal immigration?

Trump’s no Reagan. He’s a NY Democrat. Talks like it, walks like it, and it is.

When was the last time Trump went after Obama and Hillary or the Dems in general? He likes Democrats because their big gov policies have benefited him.

Well, the polls following the last debate anticipated the Trump surge that followed.

I think we can safely assume that Trump and Fiorina will gain ground in the next polls taken in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, etc.

Trump has never in his life done a thing about “establishment pukes”. Why? Because he is one.

And don’t think that there aren’t establishment pukes that are anti-illegal immigration. Every union boss is both.

Just about the same result as over on Drudge and at time.com.

But the usual media pundits go on about Fiorina and Rubio.

"...listen to the words and the points being made and try to filter out the theatrics."

Roger that, Senator.
That's what got us the Magic Negro in the Oval Office, albeit a different type of emotionalism.
One of them played to that to a much greater extent then the others last night, and I dislike him even more this morning.

Fio-RINO will move up in the polls, but she will not draw thousands of people to her campaign events.

I would wager Right to Rise will be forced by their donors to cancel Jeb’s advertising buys and start transferring the money to Fio-RINO’s Super PAC so she can start advertising.

Here is the important take-away from these early polls: Trump +Carly+Cruz+Carson always equal more then 80%!

Well, that’s the nature of business. There is no US President in Our history, who hasn’t aligned with big business. I’ve read you for a few years, you are not naïve, so what gives with you and Trump?

He’s been doing that for three months. If there are two sides to an issue, Trump’s on all three of them. Look at his website. He has only one official position:

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform

Immigration reform, but nothing else near and dear to conservatives. He’s a blank sheet of paper flapping in the wind and sillies are projecting what they want onto it.

Trump talks and acts like every union member I know from truckers to electricians to linemen to cops to firemen and etc. They want their big gov, but just not this big gov.

Speaking of Trump.....”He likes Democrats because their big gov policies have benefited him”...........

No one ever suggested Trump is stupid, he is a business man who clearly sees where he can/cannot make money. The demodummies policies are just one of those “easy streets” for Trump to follow.

As for taking Trump down, no one in that debate was a clear winner. The only thing I saw was Fiorina being a mean spirited, angry, vengeful woman who has a thin skin. Not presidential in my opinion.
