He’s doing quite a bit now.

He's said quite a bit. He's done nothing and has a history of not doing anything as regards conservatism.

If it weren’t for him, nobody would be talking about establishment Republicans.

Absolutely true and PC wouldn't be so vulgarly exposed. That he got people talking about it is great.

I completely agree and that’s why I like Walker. We need a guy who’s going to push the GOP run Congress to cut and shrink, starting with cutting the Democrat money machine down to size.

I do like that he put PC and illegal immigration front and center, but what’s he delivered?

Those are the main pluses of having Trump in the race, additionally it's hard to oppose too strongly anyone who helps sink Jeb in the polls.

Trump and Cruz are the only candidates who oppose amnesty for illegals. Cruz would be a solid candidate, but he seems unable to build any kind of mass following, and even in the debates tends to disappear into the background. So sadly, we're left with a blowhard with dubious sincerity as the only GOP candidate keeping these important issues in the spotlight.

My biggest problem with Trump is that I doubt his seriousness and sincerity even on the issues he thumps on. In 2012, he was attacking anti-amnesty Republicans for "alienating Hispanics." Fifteen years ago, he was attacking Pat Buchanan as a "nativist" and a "racist" for saying the same things about immigration that Trump is saying today.

I've often asked why we're just hearing about immigration now from Trump, and why he's never used his billions or his media connections to advance these issues in the past. I think that the reason is that he had the savvy to recognize the fact that illegal immigration wasn't being adequately addressed by any GOP candidate, so like any good businessman and marketer, he saw a vacant niche and chose to fill it. That doesn't mean he has any strong convictions on the subject and won't sway the other way if/when the winds change direction.

He lost money once

Doubtful and I doubt his actual net worth as it's been calc'd much lower than Trump says and he's regularly caught inflating the truth.

Some billionaires just stood in front of a speeding money train and got hit.

yes, Bush done.

Expect Rubio and Kasich to compete to be the establishment candidate. But where can Rubio win early other than FLA?

I would imagine that he delivered real estate since that was his primary business.

I don’t expect any tangible good from politicians before they’re in office. Then I expect less once they’re in office.

Seriously, I don’t have any idea what to expect with Trump and I’m not really on the bandwagon. At this point, I’m ready to replace everyone in every elected office with people appointed by a lottery to one term in office. I honestly think we’d be better off.

Let’s not do single entry accounting. Reducing the employers’ liberty to hire is a reduction in liberty. Are you stating that employers should be forced to hire Americans? If yes, how many?

If I install a Korean made KUKA industrial robot at the cost of American jobs would you penalize me?

Would you force consumers to only buy American?

Would you force employees to only work for Americans?

Law enforcement is a function of government. We have runaway government that is extremely unlawful. The problem isn’t illegals, but their enablers.

The real enemy is the welfare state. Trump has not proposed dismantling it or the union money machine that supports it.

I am against electing NY Democrats regardless of their stated position on illegal immigration. I’m against wasting money or reducing liberty.

Let’s attack the real problem: the Welfare State. Cut those benes and watch them leave. No more government. The solution is less government.

Only Walker’s cut the Democrat Money Machine.

Employers should hire those who are legally allowed to work here. Not too difficult to comprehend.

If I install a Korean made KUKA industrial robot at the cost of American jobs would you penalize me?

Nope. That's just silly.

Would you force employees to only work for Americans?

Nope. That's just silly.

Like their employers.

The real enemy is the welfare state.

The welfare state is one enemy. The media, the commie left, the establishment right, and foreign invaders are others.

You’re making an invalid straw man argument.

You are crossing the line from liberty to anarchy and lawlessness.

Every law that protects someone’s liberty also takes away another’s ‘freedom’ to encroach on that liberty. You are arguing on the wrong side, wanting to steal Americans’ freedoms so you get cheap labor. That position also steals Americans’ tax dollars by paying welfare to illegals, giving so-called minorities jobs and education and handouts instead of Americans, steals the American culture to replace it with a 3rd world mob.

The end result will be no freedoms for anyone, because a 3rd world socialist economy allows no opportunities.

Why not just admit all your twisted arguments are hiding that you are ultimately pro-amnesty. It’s obvious to everyone else here that you have one agenda only.

just wondering, is hijacking a thread - making 1/3 to 1/2 of the comments and being adversarial while changing the flow others are trying to discuss - allowed here? Especially on multiple threads?

Trump’s stated policy objectives are the most conservative policy objectives of anyone running and he can actually win unlike Walker who is pro amnesty and pro Patriot Act (Walker even said the PA doesn’t go far enough in govt power) yea tell us again how you are pro less govt and also pro Walker. You don’t pass the smell test pal!

There is a first...because I dislike Trump, I am a liberal.

Because you're an amnesty gimp, you're a liberal. That's why you won't deny it.

Patton hammers hole and continues to Berlin--and Moscow. Providing Constitutional/Conservative stability, he selects the best in the field--as is his wont.

Jeb y Jorge pobrecitos. Don't you love it when a plan comes together.
