Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush huddled in secret with a handful of reporters as hes slipping in the polls ahead of the next debate here on Wednesday evening, Breitbart News has learned.
Bush met in private for an off-the-record meeting on Tuesday with RealClearPolitics Rebecca Berg, the Washington Examiners Byron York, Fox News John Roberts and CNNs S.E. Cupp.
A Republican political insider told Breitbart News:
Two reporters complained to me today that their editors and producers forced them to attend an off the record pre-debate meeting with Jeb Bush, who is in single digits in all national and state polls. I was also told that the meeting was so low energy and boring that one reporter described it as a snooze siesta. Jeb wavered for five days on whether to hold the gathering but then decided that it would be a mistake not to try and spin tomorrows loss which will be both in form and substance. The good news is that Jeb spoke to an audience which doubled his last campaign event.
Bush spokesman Tim Miller didnt immediately return a request for comment, nor did the other attendees or representatives for them.

Forced to attend?
LOL
I doubt that. How else can they make sure they are all getting the same talkingpoints to help the 'moderate' Republican-running-as-a-conservative?

But Im not sure the Japanese comparison is particularly apt. Maybe so....but I wanted to point out that Trump has been in these situations and is aware of what's going on.

Maybe after tonight he will rip up the ‘pledge’ and go third party and then won't have to worry about ‘their election’ debates...
Trump has enough money that he can make his own T.V. station and talk, put on there anyone he wants, and makes it so the people that can't afford cable can listen to what he has to say, what rallies he talks at, we might even be able to see and hear him better that we have been able to...
Nope, if I were Trump, the pledge would be shoved up someones butt after tonight....guaranteed!!!!

Totally agreed.
(Though I’m not sure even any pol has been in exactly this loaded a mass “debate” situation before.)

I just tweeted this out to Trump. He probably already knows but not taking that for granted.

Wanna bet the 700 guests will be all paid Jeb shills? Ill guarantee you the audience has been stacked.
Remember all of the RNC t-shirt wearers in the audience of the last debate?
Stacked, indeed. Maybe there’ll be some “moles” who slip in....for Trump :)

Someone also tweets to Ivanka to make sure they get the message. Don’t remember who.

Do you remember the PAC of Hollywood technicians for Trump?
The letter from Richard Nixon? Pictures with Ronald Reagan? We and the gopee may be surprised.

Has Luntz and company declared Trump the loser yet? |
On the contrary, Luuntz has assured the media that his new focus group is made up, diverse, happy, balanced, colorful with a Little Song, a Little Dance, a Little Seltzer Down Yer Pants...

Trump pledged not to attend? You had best post a link or some people might think you are a liar.

Trump ought to ask JEB! about this off the record cram session with the unbiased media in the debate tonight. That would be interesting information for the viewing public. Yes he should.

But I do admit I would be surprised if Trump painted himself in a corner by pledging to not attend if CNN didnt make the donation.
CNN Admin will appease with something acceptable.
A no-show Trump would cost them $million in a loss of viewership. They are likely expecting even more viewers than FoxNews got. All of these side spats by the candidates are fodder for increased viewership.

I think this would be hilarious:
Jeb takes a verbal swipe at Trump. Trump steps to side of the podium and begins to unbutton his shirt. He pulls his shirt open to reveal — {drum rollllllllllllllllll} a T-shirt with a big target on it. And then he points to an outer ring and says ‘want to try again?’
[This as a counter to Jeb’s exposure of his Reagan-Bush T-shirt.]

So, he was sitting there looking at S.E. Cupp, and he was still dozing off? Hmmmm......

Read my #23 on this thread. I was in error. Trump sent a letter requesting that the excess revenue be donated to Veterans' groups. He said a list of possible groups would follow Zucker's response. But he never did say he wouldn't attend if the response was "no".
I think where I got an incorrect impression is speculation by a TV commentator. Apologies for my error.
