Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush huddled in secret with a handful of reporters as hes slipping in the polls ahead of the next debate here on Wednesday evening, Breitbart News has learned.
Bush met in private for an off-the-record meeting on Tuesday with RealClearPolitics Rebecca Berg, the Washington Examiners Byron York, Fox News John Roberts and CNNs S.E. Cupp.
A Republican political insider told Breitbart News:
Two reporters complained to me today that their editors and producers forced them to attend an off the record pre-debate meeting with Jeb Bush, who is in single digits in all national and state polls. I was also told that the meeting was so low energy and boring that one reporter described it as a snooze siesta. Jeb wavered for five days on whether to hold the gathering but then decided that it would be a mistake not to try and spin tomorrows loss which will be both in form and substance. The good news is that Jeb spoke to an audience which doubled his last campaign event.
Bush spokesman Tim Miller didnt immediately return a request for comment, nor did the other attendees or representatives for them.

The usual willing MSM lefty accomplices.
Trump will likely have fun with this.
And Trump beats them all. He should go out tomorrow, presuming that is the result, with a tweak and in interviews that 10-to-1 and he won. He might ask in Trump style, “Is that the best you all can do?” Suggesting they might all pack it in and get on his campaign so that the Republican party can shift focus to the Democrats.
No issues on this end, FRiend.
As I tried to make clear in my post, I could well have missed something myself.
But I do admit I would be surprised if Trump painted himself in a corner by pledging to not attend if CNN didn’t make the donation.
That’s my understanding. I refer to “Jeb” as “Heb”.
Well, that is concerning.
Due to the limited size of the seating area, tickets are not available to the general public and cannot be purchased.
Pray America is waking
What would you accept as a sign that your prayer is being answered?
Ha—he’s right in that description, but in my experience those Japanese teams are very quiet, with only one maybe pushing for information or perspective or whatever. They get you afterwards, because it’s been impossible to draw out their real thoughts and questions.
Trump can probably handle it as well as anyone, and he has the experience of the first debate under his belt. But I’m not sure the Japanese comparison is particularly apt.
Beautiful........hope Donald takes the hint.
Guess its not a secret anymore
It’s funny. The reporters are squealing because they would rather be covering Trump instead of Amnesty Jeb.
It's being televised. Why can't the media watch it on TV like the rest of us?
Trump has been very considerate of press. Providing them shade, water and scheduling his press conference before events so those who can’t get in can file their stories early and have an early night.
It bears repeating ...
Reagan Library spokeswoman Melissa Giller said she expects at least 2,000
people to pack the library, 700 of which are guests in the audience. The rest will be members of the media and crews working the event.
Due to the limited size of the seating area, tickets are not available to the general public and cannot be purchased.
Gee, I hope the media doesn't screw-up.....and follows directions to stay BEHIND the razor-wire barriers.
>> Im wondering why or if Trump didnt stick to his pledge to not attend unless the excess advertising profits are being donated to Veterans causes <<
Hmm. Like an Obama “red line” in Syria?
Maybe one of the questioners should ask DT about it tonight?
>> Should the Spanish pronunciation be...Heb? <<
Welcome to FR.
You too, Hawthorn.
You're both 2005.
