Most people don't know what a socialist is. Socialist sounds too much like "social." A socialist, I suspect, for most Americans means to be "social." Who could be opposed to that?
Bernie Sanders is a Socialist. In reality, he's a theft using the respectability of the United States Senate as cover for his criminal views.
Like all socialists, Sanders believes it's OK to steal from people if he can get enough votes and enough support from the people he will be stealing for -- the beneficiaries of his thieving ways.
Of course, Sanders isn't the only socialist in Congress. Most politicians are socialists. Most Americans are specialists. They, too, believe it's OK to steal as long as a majority of people approve of it.
It's gotten so bad that NEWSWEEK magazine proposed that we are now a socialist nation: "We Are All Socialists Now."
And what would Sanders' thievery cost the United States, that is, people? Not much. Just $18 trillion over ten years. As we all know, government projections of costs is always on the low side. Newsmax reports:
'Sen. Sanderss agenda does cost money,' Warren Gunnels, Sanders' policy director, told The Wall Street Journal, with the Vermont senator refusing a request for a direct interview. 'If you look at the problems that are out there, its very reasonable.'
"The Vermont senator says his agenda is needed to provide essential services for Americans, but the plans, which include $15 trillion for a healthcare program that covers all Americans, would also come with tax increases to collect up to $6.5 trillion over the same decade."
His plan and costs include:
*Medicare (single-payer healthcare plan): $15 trillion *Social Security (increase benefits and bolster solvency): $1.2 trillion *Infrastructure (Rebuild roads, bridges and airports): $1 trillion *College Affordability (Tuition-free public schools and favorable loan refinancing): $750 billion *Paid Leave Fund (Allow workers paid family and medical leave) $319 billion *Bolster private pension funds (to prevent companies from cutting pensions): $29 billion *Youth jobs initiative ($1 million jobs for disadvantaged youth): $5.5 billion *The payment for these programs would require stealing money and property from millions of Americans and transferring that stolen money to people who have no right to it.
Such a program of theft would destroy our economy, create even greater class conflict, reduce the incentive for the productive to work and innovate, and create millions of dependent people.
Like all progressives, Sanders isn't really interested in helping people, just in helping himself. (One cannot be genuinely interested in helping people and be a progressive.)
Oops. Formatting problem. Should look like this:
His plan and costs include:

*Social Security (increase benefits and bolster solvency): $1.2 trillion
*Infrastructure (Rebuild roads, bridges and airports): $1 trillion
*College Affordability (Tuition-free public schools and favorable loan refinancing): $750 billion
*Paid Leave Fund (Allow workers paid family and medical leave) $319 billion
*Bolster private pension funds (to prevent companies from cutting pensions): $29 billion
*Youth jobs initiative ($1 million jobs for disadvantaged youth): $5.5 billion
The payment for these programs would require stealing money and property from millions of Americans and transferring that stolen money to people who have no right to it.
Is Ben Carson going to be his running mate?
Keep in mind that government programs ALWAYS cost more than originally estimated (not to mention they make matters worse). A lot more.
Bernie, you said: You dont necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants or of 18 different pairs of sneakers when children are hungry in this country.
So let me get this straight, Bernie . . . you're going to set up an agency or a czar to determine how many kinds of deodorant, and how much of it, can be permitted by law?
Will you do the same with toilet paper? I mean look how many brands of toilet paper there are. Shall we just set up a monopoly of one company, or better yet, a government monopoly, to produce exactly the right amount of toilet paper, or otherwise limit the amount of toilet paper that gets produced?
Are you going to hire Michael Gruber to be the guy who figures out the correct amount of toilet paper that people should be allowed to use? He's smart. He teaches at MIT. So why shouldn't we put him in charge of figuring out exactly how much of everything should or shouldn't be produced for the American people?
Have you been to socialist Venezuela lately, Bernie? They seem to have solved the problem of too many toilet paper brands. Because right now there is no toilet paper to be had at all in socialist Venezuela."
So tell me Bernie, what exactly will you do to feed starving children by reducing the amount of toilet paper we have in this country? And by the way, when you close all the toilet paper companies, how will the people who used to work at them feed their own starving children?
Bernie? . . . .
It’s the schools! Stop them from indoctrinating the young that socialism is good and state thievery is just.

Rarely do they advocate using their own money or resources.

Hence my sig line...
the amount of psychopathology needed to think that that was a good idea is overwhelming:
1)gratification of various types of pathological dependency
2)feelings of envy and inferiority
3)paranoid perceptions of victimization
4)manic delusions of grandeur
5)desire for power, domination and revenge
6)infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation
