Ben Carson is the black version of Scott Walker or John Kasisch .... a GOPe tool ...

Too many project what they want their selectee to be, not what their selectee actually is.
For many political bandwagons, 10 minutes of google search reveals a lot of history.

In the Top-of-the-Poll Headline News: Trump continues to lead, while the media and Jeb Bush alliances urgently work to push non-vulgarian Ben Carson into the #1 spot.
They RNC/GOPe (Wall Street interests et al) need a visible and statistical result so they can drum beat the Donald Trump has peaked and is now slipping message. They are urgently looking for a POLL RESULT they can sell as a see-toldyaso breaking news alert. Carson in Iowa is their best hope at creating that narrative/optic.

Carson also invoked the 'jobs Americans won't do' mantra, instead of relying on FACTS:

I will never again vote for anyone to be President who will not enforce the laws on fraudulently documented foreigners.
What they are telling us is that laws are for citizens and suckers....

Carson has taken the consistent position of conservatives/ libertarians/ capitalists/ corporatists/ Evangelicals/ Catholics/ Republicans pre-2002.
In the historical sense of the word, the anti-illegal position based on Malthusian-Guttmacher premises is not conservative.

When asked by Glenn Beck if people should be allowed to own semi-automatic weapons, Dr. Benjamin Carson said: "It depends on where you live. I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and Im afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it." (Glenn Beck Show, March 1, 2013)

Ben has gone full-BushAlmost makes you wonder if he hasn't gotten some Republican consultants to help him with the issues he doesn't know much about.

Carson said the country must provide them a way so that they dont have to hide in the shadows and give them an opportunity to become guest-workersthey have to register, they have to enroll in a back tax program. And if they want to become citizens they have to get in the line with everyone else
because we have to pay homage to people whove done it the right way, Carson added. Mexicorruption has already asserted their conditions for a guest worker program.
Guest workers? Ben, we have a problem
. . . before there could be a guest worker agreement Mexicorruption officials specified that
- there had to be regularization,
- a concept that Foreign Minister Jorge G. Castañeda says must allow Mexican immigrants to
- obtain driver's licenses,
- Social Security cards and
- resident tuition at colleges.
- Mexican officials knew better than to say amnesty.
Castañeda imposed the requirement that
- any comprehensive agreement on border safety and
- guest workers must
- include regularization for illegal workers.
- "It's the whole enchilada, or nothing," Mr. Castañeda said.
It was pretty much on track to become law no matter what Americans thought but we were attacked by yet another enemy on 9/11 2001. From various sources including including this 2002 FR thread
Is Carson already a practicing politico to where he can feel that "we'll handle that matter when we get elected. We can count on support from the immigration industry and crony capitalism to silence the people."?

I think Ben Carson is probably a really brilliant doctor. I don’t want him taking the 3:00AM phone call or letting the lefties take my guns.

Ben Carson, excellent pediatric neurosurgeon, good family man , just not ready for primetime. In a way, you get to appreciate the long drawn out selection process for president. The wrong candidates eventually self destruct under the scrutiny.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Ben has not studied politics long enough to know what he actually thinks about anything of policy on a National level.
He just gets pulled along by his heart strings and Marxists know how to play that harp. He’s easily manipulated by the uniparty.
