I posted what it was. The GOPe did not want the blame for an Iranian nuke. They wanted the Dems to get that the way Clinton gave it to the North Koreans with his deal.
It is stupid thinking, but that is what we have in the GOP leadership these days.

For this agreement with Iran, they put in place a half assed approval process, in which there will not be a 2/3 Senate vote of approval, as required by the Constitution to approve a treaty.
Instead, they set it up so that Congress would have to pass a bill disapproving of it, which then would be vetoed by Obama, and then require a 2/3 vote to override the veto.
The net effect is that the Republicans who control Congress, set this up so that Obama would need only 1/3 support plus 1 vote in Congress, to sustain a veto of disapproval passed by Congress.
I still don’t get how this is legal. Instead of a 2/3 affirmative Senate vote for a treaty, the Republicans set this up so that only a 1/3 plus 1 vote to sustain a veto of a disapproval vote approves this agreement.

They ALWAYS fail by one or two votes. One has to be highly suspicious that it’s all backroom deals. Those who can get away with it and still be re-elected support the bad votes.

I read it but don’t get it. How much of a factor is the NK bomb in anyone’s political decisions today? Why do they think anyone would care who is at fault, this whole thing is upside down and backwards. Plus you really cannot succeed passing blame to someone else for a treaty you voted for.
