Trump Criticizes Carly Fiorina’s Looks: ‘Look At That Face!’
The Daily Caller ^ | September 9, 2015 | Chuck Ross

Posted on 09/09/2015 10:49:08 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Donald Trump took shots at several of his fellow Republican presidential candidates in a Rolling Stone profile published on Wednesday, but it’s his comments about Carly Fiorina’s physical appearance that are attracting the most attention....

“Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Asked what she believes Trump meant by the comment about her face, Fiorina said “I have no idea.”

“Honestly, Megyn, I’m not going to spend a single cycle wondering what Donald Trump means. But maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”

Fiorina was far from the only GOP contender that Trump mocked in the Rolling Stone article.

Moments before his comment about Fiorina, Trump and his aides appeared to joke about Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s mental acuity.....

“Donald thinks you’re “amazing” and a “very good friend of his” when you bow, kneel and scrape in his presence [and faithfully sing his praises]. When you don’t, he attacks.”

So now we know where you mimicked your undeniable charm when anyone does not like your Kool-Aid.

Whatever. I took his comments that way. Maybe it is because I have spent a good amount of my life being a soldier and working in the middle east but that is what I got out of it. I could be wrong because I only read the short quote in the article and I do not know what context he said it in, but neither do you. Anyhow, that is how I took his comment. I do not see anything to indicate it is about Fiorina being ugly or unattractive, but you apparently took it that way because that is what you want it to be about. Different strokes and all that.

You have been of FR long enough to have seen countless threads and posts mocking the looks of female politicians, reporters and other celebrities (male looks are mocked too, but not as much). But suddenly, when Trump jokes about someone’s looks you discover your inner Politically Correct self.

You equate winning elections with intelligence? I give you Obama, Jimmah Carter.

I give you Mrs. George Will, wife of the Emeritus Rectumus Maximus of the GOPe-RINO-Axis, who works for Scott Walker as an adviser.

That alone raises a major red flag.

“You never see Ted Cruz acting in this way.”

Maybe you can help me out with Cruz. Last night on Hannity, Cruz mentioned how he fought the Corker bill in the Senate. Cruz voted FOR the Corker monstrosity. Is it possible to square that vote with what he told Hannity? All the Republican senators voted for it, except Cotton. When the destruction caused by that bill is unleashed, Cotton only will have no blood on his hands.

“If that’s what it takes to battle the enemy, so be it All is fair in war and in these times, whatever it takes is a winner. Just look at Trump’s impressive polling numbers.”

Donald is wasting his ammo on the wrong enemies. How about Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, the Obama Administration?

I'm one of the biggest advocates that only Trump can cut across the spectrum and bring enough attention to what bad shape the US is in. I laughed when it was Rosie ODonnell he was insulting, because it's like she works at being ugly.

On other issues, Trump's been spot on in not crossing the line between what's tough but acceptable insulting and what's unprovoked insults.

I still support Trump viogorously. But someone's got to tell him. Outside of Billionaireland, we don't make fun of people for their God-given looks.

First, I don’t believe it—Look at the Source Rolling Stone—remember what that rag did to General McCandlis? And the Rape story at the University? I do not think Trump would say that—and if he did its out of context—there may be more to the story than this little Gotcha Quote. megyn Kelly ate it up like catnip on her show—she will milk it for a week.
Second, The statements by Ben Carson were provoked by reporters. Ben didn’t sould very nice—he looked smug and like a Holier than Thou Christian. No Humbleness there. Trump will fire back. The foes of freedom are gathering their long knives for the debate—should be the “Chop Trump” and end him Night.

Yes, and his behavior may work in the private sector. As it is, his contempt for everyone, his bragging, his bluster, and his name-calling will make it very difficult to build a team that cooperates with him. If Trump were to win, he’d have to have a one-party government filled with Trump’s chumps to get his agenda through. Like Obama, he demonizes everyone and then expects people to believe it’s all their fault. Childishness is not a leadership trait.

Ask Senators Ted Cruz, Jeff Sessions and Sarah Palin what they think about it.

They don't seem to be suffering from TDS(c).

Imagine if Trump had said that about Hillary's face. The media would barrage him until he's out.

Now we will hear a few crickets chirp.

Yesterday on FOX & Friends, Jeb Bush was on. He made fun of Trump’s looks by telling how when he was on Colbert’s show that Colbert played the part of Trump.

He said Colbert put yellow cotton candy on his head to look like Trump.

It made me laugh.

Lighten up, Francis

What is less sincere? What is more offensive? A good fart joke - even a bad one, or the direction of this country at this moment?

Compare a fart joke with the destruction Obama has caused to the Constitution, not to mention the lives and quality of lives across the planet, in collusion with his do-nothing 'opposition,' though his actions and strategic inaction?

I'll take the fart joke - it tastes better and has fewer calories than the current sh*t sandwich the US is eating.

If I thought Cruz could win and affect change, of course he'd be my pick. But the lumpen idiots in this country will neither vote for him nor follow him even if they did vote for him.

Merely obnoxious vs poisonous. I'm sincerely interested in your answer the question in the first paragraph.

It’s fun watching people come to the conclusion that Trump is a hyper-spoiled little child.

He’s the type we would have all hated, growing up. Explains why he got tossed out of his first school.

Colbert had Trump’s picture on screen with the KKK. I am just wondering if that torments your righteous soul; since you are always on the look out for at least Trump’s failings, you must be like Lot, troubled over the evil you see around you.

Yet another day, yet another Donald Trump grotesquerie. Without reading a single reply on this thread (now up to 100 replies) one can predict with assurance that this grotesque gaffe will be defended and excused. We will be told that he is electable, that everybody does it, that his enemies are our enemies, that he is not enfeebled by political correctness but emboldened as a straight talker.
