Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee wants you to know the Kim Davis rally on Tuesday was his event and Sen. Ted Cruz was a last-minute addition.
"Look, I invited him to come and meet with Kim Davis. It was our event. We were kind of surprised that he showed up. But you know, once he was there, we invited him to come and meet with her. So I’m not sure what the controversy is," Huckabee said on Fox News on Wednesday morning.

"We planned, paid for, and promoted the event and Sen. Cruz showed up the day of and tried to take it over. It would have been the equivalent to us showing up at their religious liberty event in Iowa a couple weeks ago, claiming it was our event, and expecting to give the keynote speaking role," said a Huckabee aide, who refused to talk on the record about the event. "First time any of us have ever seen a presidential candidate crash another candidate's event without so much as reaching out to get permission to attend. Bizarre."

Instead, with his “put me in jail instead” lame outburst, he made himself look like a jackass.

See, this is what Huckabee does. He viciously undercuts a political rival, and then feign outrage that it happens, and goes into aw-shucks mode. He’s a despicable human being.

So, when Cruz, the only other candidate who both showed support in
words and action(showing up) attended, Huckster blocked him out.
This was nothing more than a campaign event by the Huckster.
In fact, parts of it reminded me of the “Paul Wellstone Funeral Farce”

Both Morning Joe and Fox ‘n Friends asked Huckabee about Ted Cruz this morning.
Huckabee played so dumb, I KNEW he was lying.

Huckabuck claimed Cruz showed up late, but knew nothing about the lousy treatment Cruz incurred ... (liar, liar, Huckster gave the order).

Good grief. If it was a private party that Huckabee had paid for at some country club or hotel it would be a different story, but this was a public venue. It seems it was all about him.
