WASHINGTON (CNN) Sarah Palin knows the position she wants in a Donald Trump administration: Energy secretary.
"I think a lot about the Department of Energy, because energy is my baby: oil and gas and minerals, those things that God has dumped on this part of the Earth for mankind's use instead of us relying on unfriendly foreign nations," she told CNN's Jake Tapper in an interview that aired Sunday on "State of the Union."
But Palin, the GOP's 2008 vice presidential nominee, might be the first potential cabinet member to openly speak about dissolving their office.

Let’s end the EPA, Dept of Education and cut IRS down to Accts receivable only!
If anyone will do it, she will.
And Sarah won’t give a rat’s @$$ what the lefties think either.
I think this brings up a good point of discussion.
Has the state of American energy improved since we have a cabinet level Department of Energy??
Has the state of American education improved, since Jimmy Carter created the Department of Education??
Apply this and other similar tests to all government agencies. Have they improved the situation in the areas they are supposed to be overseeing; are they administering government regulations in these areas appropriately?
Have certain government agencies, perhaps created to solve particular problems, actually solved problems so that such agencies are not needed anymore???
It seems like it is unthinkable to some people, that we would ever actually abolish a government agency, or rein in an agency such as EPA which seems to have become an entity out of control.
Sarah as Energy Sec. couldn’t dissolve the agency BUT she could pair the whole thing down to bare bones.. and it’s impact to a popcorn fart..
Meaning a good thing..
I want Michelle Bachmann for Secretary of Education for the same reason Sarah Palin wants to be Secretary of Energy; to shut it down.
xactly. Why stop there? So many departments in the govt which is not needed..
OMG i’m voting for that!! lol
Sure. I only mentioned the ones that I thought of at the time.
Okay, so after She winds down the DOE, then what? Where would Palin be most use useful as a human wrecking ball?
I have the perfect job for her: put her in charge of the EPA, and let her swing the axe, far..and..wide!
Oh don’t get rid of the IRS. make sure every registered Dummycrat and liberal bound by law to pay their taxes because they love gubmint’ masterhood anyways...
And she could find those emails the EPA deleted rather than obey a court order to turn them over to Mark Levin’s Landmark Legal Foundation.
make sure every registered Dummycrat and liberal bound by law to pay their taxes because they love gubmint ................................................ Any congress critters who are hiding $$$$ off shore to avoid paying taxes, should be sent there permanently.
A review of all building leases etc must also be conducted and when necessary relocate them to less expensive building venues in less attractive lower lease areas. I could go on and on.
I agree with you.
The DOE needs to go but it is fairly low on my list of Departments in need of killing.
I agree, we need to make sure Al Sharton pays his taxes! Once we have tax reform though, I want this department whittled down. No more Star War retreats on the taxpayers backs.
Good girl!
To the extent that nuclear accidents and oil spills affect other states, I think it needs to stay Federal.
I don’t want Arkansas to screw up a nuclear plant that turns my Tennessee radioactive.
I would like to see nuclear come back though. The one thing I liked about John McCain’s presidency was his plan.
The DOE needs to focus on maintaining reliable supplies without oil price shocks. Evalutating new technologies and funding research. Funding production of viable technologies only on a very small scale again for research purposes.
Because Arkansas is so stupid they want a nuclear disaster.
She does. But things are easier said than done.
