The PGA is canceling its annual Grand Slam of Golf tournament this year following a disagreement with presidential contender Donald Trump.
The event was slated to be held in October at the GOP front-runner's Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles. But the PGA decided in July to move the tournament after Trump made controversial statements about illegal immigration.
On Thursday, the PGA said they were unable to find another venue in time.

This is exactly why liberals should not be in charge of anything or in the position to make decisions, especially when it involves matters of our country!

The PGA Tour discriminates against women by not permitting them to play in their tournaments. Even as a golfer competes against the course directly not against other players, the PGA Tour intentionally forbids qualified women from competing at all.Sorry, you're wrong, Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie have both played in PGA tourneys in the past 20 years.

The PGA does not discriminate against women. In fact, a few years ago they let Anika Sorenstam play in a couple of PGA matches.
It is the "Pro Golfers Association". There is no mention of members needing to be men. I believe that pretty much every male-dominated sport league like the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. do not technically prevent women from competing. They just haven't found any that can compete with the most athletically fit men.
The LPGA, WNBA, etc. are for those humans that can't compete with men in athletics, i.e. women. Those are the organizations that have discriminatory policies against men.
It will be interesting when trannies start asking to play women's sports. It happened in the past with Dr. Rene Richards in tennis, but he/she wasn't all that good.
If a high caliber male golfer decides he could make more money winning LPGA tournaments then grinding through PGA tournaments we might see some fireworks.

I think I’m in favor of stripping the PGA of status as one of the four annual majors. Instead, we’ll make the tournament of champions the 4th major.

There is something else going there.
The loss of revenue for PGA is greater than that for Trump...

This is the KEY headline.
Protesting Trump is going to cost the PGA millions.
It was the PGA’s CHOICE..., no one put a gun to their head.

The Grand Slam of Golf is not a typical golf tournament. It only has four competitors, the winners of that year's four majors, with a substitute if there are not four different winners or if one is unavailable. It has been played in Bermuda or Hawaii for about 20 years. Its very small galleries make the claim that the PGA couldn't find an alternative site pretty weak. The warm locations probably made the late October two-day tournament very pleasant for the players and their families. It also had guaranteed money for all four competitors.
Sure does seem like the PGA is cutting off its nose to spite its face.
