How does your brain allow you to equate riding horses with sodomy?
This is who a judge sends the federal marshals after.
Never anybody in the Obama administration breaking countless laws
Health Risks of the Homosexual Lifestyle
The current media portrayal of gay and lesbian relationships is that they are as healthy, stable and loving as heterosexual marriages or even more so.1 Medical associations are promoting somewhat similar messages.2 Sexual relationships between members of the same sex, however, expose gays, lesbians and bisexuals to extreme risks of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), physical injuries, mental disorders and even a shortened life span. There are five major distinctions between gay and heterosexual relationships, with specific medical consequences. They are:

I’m channeling my federal judge..... “If the law assumes that one of the marrying pair must be a female, that law has been removed by judicial fiat and replaced with whatever I say.”
I make the mistake of thinking you are reading and understanding this thread as closely as am I.
Did you miss the part about the governor calling a special session? Even though I reminded you with the "burning up the wires" comment?
Let me repeat myself for the fourth or fifth time. If the legislature is convened in emergency session, they can pass a law immediately stripping all clerks of duties to issue marriage licenses.
Again, Alabama and Oklahoma have already done something like this. (Or so I am told.)
The 14th Amendment does not entitle the Federal government to usurp powers not enumerated in the Constitution.
Thank you for posting that, makes perfect sense!
And of course inheritance and spousal rights have absolutely no consideration in this theoretical secular construction of yours.
Or the military. They will follow their orders from their chain of command.
A fact that has escaped the notice of exactly zero divorce attorneys in KY during this interregnum of law.
No surprise there. It is called “duress” except when the legal system does it.
I am not a lawyer but I am smelling a trap here. I am sure the gaystapo has this well rehearsed. Probably even planned before the ruling by the Eminent Tribunal. I have a feeling that somehow they are looking to establish a precedent.
This is the end result of having two big government parties. It's the bed we made, and now we're laying in it. If Republicans had been serious about small government instead of just using it as a throwaway talking point, we would never have gotten to this point.
Ping.
“The question is “Can immoral laws compel obedience?”
No one requires her to perform the marriage. All she is being asked to do is certify the people applying meet the requirements set by the law.
She is not being asked, “Do you approve of this marriage?” She is being asked, “Have these applicants complied with the law?”
If she was being required to participate in the marriage, or to perform it, or to approve of it as moral in the eyes of God, I’d support her. But all she is being asked to do is see if X & X have complied with the law.
That is where it has gone.
But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
And you too need to get yourself a good dose of this latest fallout from the 14th amendment.
Yes, they are trying to establish a precedent.
