Donald Trump is unimpressed by ¡Jeb! Bushs command of the Spanish language.
So Trump had a message for Bush Wednesday: Habla inglés.
I like Jeb, Trump told conservative Breitbart News website Wednesday. Hes a nice man. But he should really set the example by speaking English while in the United States.
Bush, who ripped Trump Tuesday in Miami en español, was on a plane Wednesday night and didnt respond to Trump in any language.

PING
Spanish was spoken here long before English ever was. Entiende Jimbo?
¡Yeb! is running to be President of North Mexico
Just because Spanish conquistadors were here before, we have to give up our country to illegal aliens?
JebBlue!
What I hate more than anything in the workplace (as this was workplace related) is people speaking other languages so as not to be understood by everyone else.
It creates a hostile working environment.
By the way we whooped the Spanish speakers asses!
Jeb Bush is at or near the bottom of my list of candidates for the republican nomination but citicizing a man for mastery of a second language seems silly. There are more significant criticisms to be made. Trump comes off as petty.
Trump is saying to Bush, if you want to criticize me, say it in English, not Spanish.
I like Jeb, Trump told conservative Breitbart News website Wednesday
Yep, he would make an outstanding citizen of Mexico.
Now. that's funny.
Chances are jeb did respond,,, in sign language.
MEMO TO JEB BUSH: Instead of getting that degree in Latin American Affairs, you might have been wise to get a degree in AMERICAN HISTORY! Since you're obviously so fond of Latin America, perhaps there's an elective office waiting for you somewhere in Latin America? Oh wait, THEY have very rigid CITIZENSHIP and RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS down there.
In fact, your wife's home country (that'd be MEXICO) has a heavily defended FENCE across its SOUTHERN BORDER!
never mind
And I suggest that you other alleged Republicans read the thoughts of several of the Founding Fathers before the next election.
PS: And tell us all again why Common Core is NOT a scheme to wrest yet more control over education from the states, locals and, more concerning, parents?
The mastery of a foreign language is not an issue, the issue is when people expect others to speak that language for their benefit. I think Bush criticizing Trump in a foreign language in the United States is low class and rude.
That’s NOT why he’s being criticized. He’s being criticized because through his constant showy use of Spanish, he is telling immigrants that it is not necessary to learn English. That’s why Trump specifically said “set an example.” I, personally, don’t like the idea of America becoming the Tower of Babel. And if Jeb is so concerned about these people, why not tell them they must learn the language of the country they reside in if they want to get ahead?
The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were written in English.
The very first vote as to the coming official language of America ended with the English language collecting one more vote than .... the German language.
Yea but without us and France you would be a subject of Queen Elizabeth II
Then its interesting that Trump has actively sourced Spanish speaking managers for his business ventures. Why not require customers, suppliers and partners to speak only English? Or is consistency too much to ask from Trump?
Trump is specifically calling out Bush for being a coward and trashing him in Spanish, not English.
There is a big difference in hiring Spanish speaking managers for international ventures and clients and you know it.
A potential president of the USA should not be encouraging immigrants to stick with their own language in highly photographed and video’ed campaign stops. What a business man does behind the scenes is his own business. But everyone - not just Trump - should encourage foreigners to learn the home language
