Now murders are mysteriously rising for reasons they can't explain. It must be Global Warming. Or car insurance rates. Or maybe squirrels. I bet it's the squirrels causing all the murders.
Now let's run another #BlackLivesMatter puff piece and more pro-crime propaganda about freeing drug dealers.
Cities across the nation are seeing a startling rise in murders after years of declines, and few places have witnessed a shift as precipitous as this city. With the summer not yet over, 104 people have been killed this year — after 86 homicides in all of 2014.
More than 30 other cities have also reported increases in violence from a year ago. In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014.
Baltimore? Not like anything happened there that might have helped accelerate the murder rate. Space to destroy? Doesn't ring a bell. It's some kind of mystery put down to disparate factors.

If only we had some sort of effective program for stopping gang members from carrying around guns to shoot each other with. I believe it was called Stop and Frisk. De Blasio trashed it to the loud cheers of the New York Times which was denouncing it.

I don’t think this spike in violent crime is just caused by police pulling back (which most politicians eventually realize just kills their own careers); I think as the Republican race gets more and more coverage, many blacks realize that their boy will be gone soon and they have nothing to show for it but broken dreams and faded bumper stickers. They’ve lost a lot in this economy, in which people little more educated than farm animals simply have no role.

The spike in violence is a trend much like the fake global warming hockey stick, except this is real data...
Slow trend upwards and boom, no pushback from the law, from the politicans, from the media...
They see there is no accountability for their actions and others on the edge have no fear of paying a price...

Here in NJ the rise in violent crime is rarely noticed outside the ghettoes; it is a very segregated state, and that makes potential perps stand out like sore thumbs (not just blacks in white areas, but the reverse as well). NJ is one state where it is easy to see how Hispanics have just completely displaced blacks from many workplaces; I’ve watched it unfold over the years, and as much as I’m shocked at the apathy of whites to watching their world collapse it is even more urgent for blacks.

Yes. I recall a number of articles from different sources, all with a similar thought: “In spite of high incarceration numbers, the crime rate is falling precipitously”.
Most people can see the obvious causation. Criminals that are locked up are not committing as many crimes.
But it is a mystery to leftists.

Huh? There have been a few hundred murders a year in NYC since Giuliani, dropping from 2200 under Dinkins.
To the contrary, I think they have been taken care of to a certain extent (away from prying eyes), they just want to cause some chaos before adults can be put in charge again.
The blacks I work with are an unhappy lot; they had just broken into the middle class ten years ago, now the days of new cars and nice vacation cruises have been replaced with frantically checking their bank balances from work and prioritizing which bills they can pay. The Obama pictures hung up in cubicles in 2008 were all gone by 2010...
