Pope to say D.C. Mass in Spanish in bow to 'Hispanic population'
Washington Examiner ^ | 2 Sep 15 | Paul Bedard

In a bow to the huge U.S. Hispanic population and the Catholic Church's advocacy of immigration, Pope Francis plans to give his Washington Mass Sept. 23 in Spanish, according to Cardinal Donald William Wuerl.

"The Mass is going to be in Spanish," Wuerl said Wednesday while previewing the pope's trip to reporters.

"It's a recognition of how large the Hispanic population in the United States is," said Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington. "And he's coming as the first pope from the New World and the predominant language in this hemisphere is Spanish," added Wuerl of the Argentine-born pope.

Francis, meanwhile, will use his address to Congress to call for bipartisanship, something missing for several years as Republicans and President Obama have jockeyed for power. In that speech he will speak English.

“The affirmative-action Hispanic bishops lobby for open borders.”

Really?

Quite interesting then there are no calls for elimination of tax exempt status, or howls about separation of church and state.

Guess feeding the anti-American beast is all a-ok.

And, the Catholic Church wonders why people are leaving in droves. I’m still Catholic but go to the Lutheran church with my wife. Haven’t been to a Catholic church in years and years.

One more of the many reasons why this Catholic thinks this Pope is a disaster for both Catholics and non-Catholics. He has turned out to be the Obama of the Catholic Church.

All that remains, when the Jesuit in chief is done is for an elite oligarchy under the direction of Rome to take over our “democracy”. The next step being the installation of a Generalissimo as dictator in chief—— Spanish fascist style.

God! Am I glad I left the church forty-five years ago.

I haven't left the Church but the Church is surely leaving me.

I think it not the Pope’s fault. He’s been poorly advised by the DC Cardinal Donald Wuerl.

Guess he wants to reassert the Treaty of Tordesillas.

************************************************************************

If he says anything about re revoking the Edict of Nantes, I’m heading for the hills.

Or getting my Huguenot shot gun out of storage.

Right in the middle of the Jewish high holy days, to make the security situation even worse.

I wish this man would stay at home. I don’t care whether it’s Rome or South America, we just do not need him here stirring up trouble.

No. The church hasn’t left you, the pope has.

He’s one errant man. The church is the collective body of Christ, all believers. Your Lord will never leave you unless you choose to walk away yourself.

Yeah. We left all that crap in France behind 300 years ago...or so we thought.

It is after all just a few days after St. Bartholomew's Day...perhaps he has some plans

I am continually offended when I see a crucifix with Christ depicted still hanging on the cross.

The whole point of Christianity is the resurrection. They completely ignore the good news.

i do NOT think we need this Foreigner coming here speaking a Foreign language to Foreigners who are INVADING America, unwanted. This will NOT be good for the Catholic Church.

Or Antichrist style.

Francis may be the False Prophet of Revelation.
