HUNTSVILLE (September 2, 2015) A Sam Houston State University student under fire for her remarks on social media about a slain Texas deputy has been arrested on an unrelated warrant.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office confirms Monica Foy was arrested Tuesday night at her home for an assault warrant in Harris County.
"Around 7:30 p.m. our agency received a call from someone making us aware of the warrant. We confirmed it was active. We went to her home and she was taken into custody without any problems," said Lt. Brady Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald couldn't confirm who made the call about the warrant, but says Foy was booked into the Montgomery County jail and was later released on bond.
Foy received national attention after posting a controversial tweet Tuesday morning on her personal account @MonicaFoycan.
The tweet said "I can't believe so many people care about a dead cop and NO ONE has thought to ask what he did to deserve it. He had creepy perv eyes..."
The tweet was published on the website Breitbart.com and Foy was identified as a student at Sam Houston State University.
According to Breitbart.com, the tweet appears to be directed at the recent shooting death of Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth.
Sam Houston State University has received a significant amount of feedback from people upset about Foy's comments on social media.
On Tuesday night the school posted the following statement on its Facebook page:
"SHSU appreciates the enormous public response in support of law enforcement. The university is a leader in educating many people who work in criminal justice and those who protect the civil liberties this country was founded upon, including free speech, whether we agree with that speech or not.
SHSU has a strong Student Code of Conduct. The students remarks will be evaluated to determine if the code was violated following standardized due process. The university has an ongoing commitment to taking actions that strengthen dialog and understanding between our students and the law enforcement community." Several Facebook users claiming to be Sam Houston State alumni have threatened to stop supporting the school if Foy isn't disciplined or removed from campus.
In a separate Facebook post, Sam Houston State University added several photos of police officers hugging students on campus along with this message:
"The individual opinion of a student does not reflect the beliefs of Sam Houston State University or its 20,000 other students. Sam Houston State is renowned internationally for its criminal justice programs and many in Texas law enforcement are proud SHSU alumni. We fully support and are thankful for the men and women who risk their lives every day to protect and serve communities across the nation. We mourn the loss of any officer and in no way condone the recent and senseless violence that has occurred in Texas and across the United States against those who have sworn to protect us."
Since the posting, Foy's Facebook and Twitter count have been shut down.
A prayer service to honor fallen law enforcement officers is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Conroe.
Her first appearance in court:
Bailiff: “Your Honor, this is case #2456 the people vs....
Judge: “Guilty”
If what she said was deemed "racist," she would have been kicked out of the university that same day. The university if full of Shiite.
Probably ruined the car’s suspension.
She was probably trying to be funny. Sadly, she didn’t take into consideration what the other students plan on doing with their lives, at least in this branch of the University.
She was probably getting a degree in basket weaving is a Liberal farts program.
Adios...
Thanks for the link.
With that rational she can be shot because she’s ugly and fat.
Probably called in by the school’s custodian sick of replacing broken furniture all over campus.

Monica Foy, Black Lives Matter Supporter, Says Dead Houston Cop Had Creepy Perv Eyes, Deserved To Die
Monica Foy has deleted both her Facebook and Twitter profiles following an offensive tweet directed at the slain Houston police officer.
Foy, who identified in her previous accounts as a Black Lives Matter supporter, characterized the deceased, Darren Goforth, as being creepy and deserving to die, touching off a firestorm in the conservative blogosphere.
I cant believe so many people care about a dead cop and NO ONE has thought what he did to deserve it. He had creepy perv eyes, the tweet noted.
This set social media ablaze and pressured Monica Foy to scrub her presence from both platforms.
Foys now defunct Facebook page described her as an English literature at Sam Houston University.
And Twitter claims yet another complete idiot. When will people learn?
I do believe she’s looking for an amish boyfriend.
GUILTY!
“I bet stuffing her in the back of the cruiser was no picnic.”
There ain’t enough lube to pull that trick off!
Found this on another website...

She was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Harris County for assault causing bodily injury. She has posted a u-tube boasting that she deals drugs. It seems that she is not exactly a naive young kid, but an actual scofflaw. Even without this history, if you think advocating or cheering a murder is acceptable youthful behavior, then you, sir, are part of the problem.

She sent a tweet to several dozen followers, unaware that a hash tag makes it public. Someone picked it up and made it viral.
I am proud that SHSU cares about helping young people learn, grow, improve from their mistakes. It probably helped you too learn from stupid stuff you did.... (I hope so.) Give some grace in a media firestorm over a tweet that was not meant to be public. The officer’s killing is a horrible tragedy. Please don’t focus your anger over that tragedy onto a young immature student who thought she was sending a private message.
******
“young people” = 26 year old college student supporting “Black Lives Matter”, assaulting people and bragging about dealing drugs to this “professor” Ken Smith!
Oh, and she didn’t mean for the remarks to post PUBLICLY! She was only PRIVATELY saying the police officer deserved to die because he had creepy eyes.

Maybe the better story here is the lengths a Sam Houston State University Mathematics Professor to defend someone and excuse the actions of a sociopath. Do you even find it strange she was arrested for assault? Of course you don’t. But she’s a good kid ... right Ken? People arrested for outstanding assault warrants are the salt of the Earth ... Right Ken? One thing is for sure. I sure as heck will not call you “Professor” especially with that picture of you with that stupid and ridiculous hat you are wearing. Do you really think it looks good?

Being stupid should hurt.
She makes a compelling case for retroactive abortion - of herself.
Stupid is as stupid does.
She has creepy liberal eyes.
Hey! This is fun! We could do this all day!
“I bet stuffing her in the back of the cruiser was no picnic.”
It was probably like trying to stuff an oyster through a keyhole.
The guy defending her!
