Can I ask a stupid question?
Is this Iran “deal” legally binding, since they have gone around the constitutional requirement that a “treaty” be approved by 2/3 of the Senate??
In this case, we have a “deal”, not a “treaty”, and in this “deal”, they engineering things so that 1/3 plus 1 vote in Congress will sustain a presidential veto of Congressional disapproval, rather than following the Constitution, which would require a 2/3 affirmative vote of the Senate.
My stupid question is whether this “deal” is really legally binding as a “treaty” would be, since they have chosen to go outside the legal framework of a treaty???
Oh 0bama’s proud of it, make no mistake. The ramifications resulting from this will be felt for decades to come.
The excuse of ‘fighting terrorism’ to strip us of our rights and trample on the Constitution will continue unabated now.

I’m confused, I heard something like the US Senate could still block it with the votes. The votes of Mikulski means the Senate can’t override the veto. Perhaps I’ll find out more on this.

If our Congress had any guts, they would cut funding to the government and shut it down until the Iran deal was rescinded.
They would also strip all funding for this to be implemented in the future.
Treaties require 2/3rds concurrence by the Senate.
I wonder what the Iranians are going buy with the 150 billion O is sending them? I think 150 billion dollars makes the USA the world largest sponsor of terrorism.
