Donald Trump is "emasculating" former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with his attacks and his performance in state and national polling, prominent Republican strategist Steve Schmidt said Monday.
"Look, Jeb Bush was a very successful governor, he's a thoughtful man, he was a good, conservative governor. But every day, Donald Trump is emasculating Jeb Bush, and Republican primary voters are not going to default to the establishment candidate who is being weakened by these attacks that go unresponded to."

Breaking down the results of the latest Iowa polling on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Schmidt remarked upon the strong performance of candidates without prior experience in public office.
"When you add it all up, 54 percent for the non-establishment candidates, and you look at the establishment candidates who are running there right now, and I think their whole conception of the race is off," he added. "Their whole sense of the mood of the country is off."

Wish someone would do the same to Schmidt, then his little-girl whining would at least be in the proper vocal range.
Jeb does not need any help. He is doing that all by himself.
I was waiting for someone to bring up Schmidt’s douchebaggery!
Just in case anyone forgot, Schmidt is the loser who was McCain’s 2008 campaign manager. He, along with Nicole Wallace, McCain’s senior campaign adviser, screwed up Sarah Palin’s message because they thought she was stupid and too conservative for the McCain campaign.
Giving Jeb a wedgie and taking his lunch money. LOL!
GOP-e purse fight!
“Lil Jeb fought back. He called Trump a jerk”
That’s harder than he fought for Terri Schiavo.
Americans are through with the preselected, media-pimped establishment candidates. Seems the people are telling the media and the eGop to go to hell with their little weak tit douchebags. No sale!
Band-aid surgery at most.
I am not a soccer mom, no.
I am not into minivans, J. Crew, or Lilly Pulitzer.
And I am not looking for some politician to be my daddy/husband.
Down here in rural central Virginia, there’s no shortage of real men (and that does NOT mean “arrogant blowhard”). I still find it funny that Donald Trump, of all people, is being lauded as the ultimate in masculinity. He’s just loud, that’s all. I’m willing to bet he gets regular manicures and buffs his nails.
Our Southern males don’t need some Manhattanite who eats pizza with a fork to give them a course in masculinity.
I’m waiting for someone to emasculate Hillary.
Can someone, ANYONE, explain to me why anyone thinks Americans want another election where its a BUSH vs a CLINTON????
Seriously, do you or anyone you know, think this is what america wants????
How completely out of touch the oligarchy has become if they think folks are going to show up at the polls for either one of them.
-who is he
-what is he really like
-what goes on in his head to make him do such things
-what has happened to him since.
My guess is that someday he'll have a second 15-seconds of fame in a "Hold my beer..." story.
Steve Schmidt is a RINO of the highest order. I have no use for the man.
Steve and his fellow consultant class of scum bear some responsibility in emasculating their candidates. Take no stand on anything unless it is PC correct, blow in the wind, apologize for everything and never speak ill of your fellow travelers on the Democrat ticket in the Uniparty election.
Anyone who says illegals come here as an act of love ... AND there’s nothing we can do to get the illegals to leave is ‘asking for it’....
Republicans have come to expect the people we elect won’t ‘give up’ until AFTER they’ve started the job we gave them. Jeb wants to give up before he’s been elected.
Bush had nothing to do with that, it was the second worst Attorney General ever, Janet Reno that ordered it under the leadership of Bill Clinton. At the time he wasn't even the GOP nominee. He was just a guy running for President. Yeah, he could have tossed a sound bite out there but that was the extent of what he could do.
Now you want to post a picture of him yucking it up with Ted Kennedy when he signed no child left behind, or him signing the campaign finance reform law while saying he thought it was unconstitutional, well, now ya got me with you.
The topic here is Jeb Bush not George Bush if that is what you are talking about. Wasn’t Jeb governor of Florida at the time?
I guess my point is that blaming anybody but Bill Clinton or Janet Reno for that travesty is letting them off the hook. On the other hand, if the situation left you with an instinct to think Jeb was weak and unprincipled, well, you got it right so I shouldn't criticize :-)
“Im waiting for someone to emasculate Hillary”
Now THAT”S funny!
