“I love the Tea Party,” Trump said. “You people have not been treated fairly. These are people who work hard and love their country, and then get beat up by the media. It’s disgusting.”

“You don’t know how big you are,” he told listeners. “The Tea Party has tremendous power. It’s Democrats, it is evangelicals, it is everybody.”

I watched that speech on YouTube. Trump still repeats some of his standard lines a lot, but he's getting better about getting some original comments in each speech. His style is like nothing else. It's like he's having a conversation with everyone in the audience, he rambles from one topic to the next, says some outrageous stuff, puts a few mild swears in there. It's actually pretty outrageous and funny.

Today he spoke out about how much he hates politically correct speech. Everyone cheered!

The thing about Trump is you either love him or love to hate him. But it's impossible to ignore this force of nature.

“You have not been treated fairly,” Trump said

**************
News flash for Trump: If he thinks he will ever be treated fairly by the devious and untrustworthy GOP he doesn’t deserve to be president. The GOP will fight to undermine and marginalize him at every turn. He is a threat to the status quo and the comfortable relationship the GOP has with the Democrats. Trump should exit the GOP and start a new party that represents conservatives.

Many of the other candidates are sitting in the background, waiting for Trump to "flame out."

I think they might be waiting a long time.

Trump was declared the first choice Republican presidential candidate with 52% of the vote, as well as the top pick for attendees’ second choice, with 26%. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and former neurosurgeon Ben Carson were the second and third choices, respectively, in the NFRA straw poll for first and second-choice candidates.

Trump =52%

Cruz = 26%

Trump + Cruz = 78%

This is a Duopoly market.

Trump + Cruz blows away the opposition.

I see a merger in the future

Here is what I want to know:

Is he all talk or will he really again make our enemies fear us and our friends trust us?
Will he really change the economic/trade balance of power in which we are currently getting shafted?
Will he be able to bring factories and good jobs back here?
Will he really go after Hillary with the gloves off?
Will he really stop illegals from working and cause their self-deportation? (We are not capable of rounding up 11 million people, even though it is the right thing to do).
Will he go after her rapist husband and talk about their war on women -— he needs to do a news conference with Broaddrick and Willey.
Has he really made a Reaganesque conversion to conservatism?
Is he really pro-life?
Is he really a strong defender of the 2nd Amendment?
Will he appoint and fight for true conservative justices to SCOTUS?
Will he call out Dems every time they say and do outrageous things?
Will he fix the tax code?
Will he treat vets as the heroes they are?
Will he push school choice?
Will he work to destroy the teachers unions?
Who is he going to choose for VP, Atty Gen, Sec of Def, and Sec of State?

The Republican Party should let Trump run the course fairly. If they screw over him he is going to give the Democrats the Presidency by running Third Party. People are tired of Party Politics as usual!

Good that the Tea Party backs the National Federation of Republican Assemblies as it represents the conservative wing of the Republican party.

In 2001 at the NFRA conference Jim Robinson was presented with the Ronald Reagan Award because of the tremendous effect that his website FreeRepublic.Com had/has on Conservatism.

Jim Robinson, Patriot.

Free Republic continues to be on the leading edge of the fight to preserve Freedom and our Constitutional Republic.

What’s going on with the Twitter Feed for these guys?

https://twitter.com/tnassembly

They report that Trump won the Straw Poll, then at some point Pastor Rafael Cruz spoke and they were voting rounds of candidates for the nomination, and Cruz beat Trump in the last Round of voting 79-26.

Are these the same people that voted Trump 52% to Cruz 24% in the Straw poll, but when it came time to “nominate” a candidate, they chose Cruz or is this 2 different events at different places?

I wish these candidates would get this info out. I did not know Trump was in Nashville. I also didn’t know Ben Carson was recently in my city of Franklin, TN. I saw it after the fact in the local newspaper.

Guess I need to get motivated!
