Donald Trump took his Republican presidential campaign to Tennessee Saturday, winning the Nashville Straw Poll at the annual convention of the tea party-backed National Federation of Republican Assemblies.
Trump won with 52 percent of the vote, CNN reports. It was not immediately clear how many of the 16 others seeking the nomination were on the ballot.
In his morning speech, the billionaire businessman praised the tea party's efforts to hold the federal government accountable and discussed how the group has been discredited by the Republican establishment.
"You have not been treated fairly," Trump said, according to CNN. "People talk about the tea party, and you talk about being marginalized?

WOOHOOO Trump/Cruz 2016!!!! Attorney General: Trey Gowdy!!!!
You dont know how big you are, he told listeners. The Tea Party has tremendous power. Its Democrats, it is evangelicals, it is everybody.
Today he spoke out about how much he hates politically correct speech. Everyone cheered!
The thing about Trump is you either love him or love to hate him. But it's impossible to ignore this force of nature.
Who else DOES that, in a field of 17? 52%.

“You have not been treated fairly,” Trump said

News flash for Trump: If he thinks he will ever be treated fairly by the devious and untrustworthy GOP he doesn’t deserve to be president. The GOP will fight to undermine and marginalize him at every turn. He is a threat to the status quo and the comfortable relationship the GOP has with the Democrats. Trump should exit the GOP and start a new party that represents conservatives.
In before nickcarraway....
I think they might be waiting a long time.
Trump still repeats some of his standard lines a lot
****************
True, he’s repetitive. But a lot of his comments bear repeating so that they sink in. Our fellow countrymen are often “distracted” and need to hear a constant barrage of simple facts to get their attention. If you know what I’m saying.
Many of the other candidates are sitting in the background, waiting for Trump to “flame out.”

Trump is not flaming out; he’s flaring up. :)
Reagan and W both ran on a pretty canned speech of three items.
Keep the message simple and easy to understand. Repeat often. Always look confident.
No matter what Trump says there are going to be doubts based on his history and lack of public record on these issues. But I do agree he needs to get more specific at some point.
Trump/Cruz, Trey Gordy as AG, John Bolton Sec. of State, Dr. Carson to head VA (or Surgeon General) Ann Colter for Press Sec. Sec. of Inter. Sarah Palin. He can do it!
lol...
Ha over 42%....control of the market...it's a wrap.
YES HE CAN!!!
