Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may be ready to finally call it quits on the Megyn Kelly trash talking.
Trump said in a radio interview with Laura Ingraham on Wednesday that he watched Kelly's Fox News show the previous evening and that he liked it "very much."
"Actually I watched her show last night, she was very nice and I appreciated it," Trump said of the Fox anchor he has criticized since the network's GOP presidential debate in early August.
Asked if he was done with the fight, Trump said that he is and that he had spoken with Fox CEO Roger Ailes.
"Roger Ailes is great," Trump said. "Roger Ailes is a special guy. He's a good friend of mine. We just spoke two minutes ago and Roger Ailes is a great guy and no, I have no problem and I actually liked her show very much last night, if you want to know the truth."
Trump's feud with Kelly goes back to the first Republican presidential debate, hosted by Fox in early August. There, Kelly asked him to defend his previous public comments about some women being "pigs" and other disparaging things. Trump went on a media tour after, charging that Kelly's questions of him were "unfair."
When Kelly went on a vacation thereafter, Trump said in interviews and on social media that it was probably because he attacked her. When she returned to her show on Monday, Trump posted negative messages on Twitter about her and her performance.
Ailes released a statement Wednesday calling on Trump to apologize for his comments about Kelly but Trump has declined, maintaining instead that Kelly should be the one to apologize to him.
A spokesperson for Fox did not return a request for comment.
Why ask for an apology when you know it's not going to happen. Dumb because it gave Trump a Golden opportunity to say she should apologize.
Somewhere....I hope Rosie is seething.
Trump: “It’s over when I say it’s over”.
Trump makes Kerry look like the Rock of Gibraltar.
Trump is just playing these fools.
I still say Trump should make noises about supporting One America News.... make ‘em sweat over at FOX.
Have an unmoderated round-table discussion every week on OAN with just the conservative candidates.... ask the others to join so they can’t claim equal-time. They will refuse anyway :-)
I wonder what Cruz is thinking after his situation last night.
Trump says she was very nice, but then Ted had a problem with her last night. Does that mean Trump approved?
Cruz could have mowed her down. I am not sure what got into him.
Why not say that and be gracious.
Smart move...
If Trump’s not man enough to apologize, chances are he’s not man enough to run our nation, either.
Kelly might be the demise of Trump. What an ego he is to not see this.
Oh please.
John McCain @SenJohnMcCain
Megyn Kelly is one of the most outstanding members of her profession - I always look forward to appearing on her program.
McCain has spoken!

I don’t think Cruz did such a bad job last night. She kept interrupting him - and wanted a yes or no answer like he was on the witness stand in a court of law. He didn’t give her that pleasure. He did make reference to them both being lawyers, so he knew exactly what she was trying to do.
Here’s the deal. NOBODY CARES about how a news broadcaster is treated.
I guess Juan is feeling left out - he hasn’t been on tv for a long time. Not that I miss him, but, just saying.......
Ratings. This "feud" is as phony as a three dollar bill. Sure, Trump may have been POed at the time, but he's been on Fox shows about 10 times a week ever since. Like he says, he and Ailes are friends. There's no real grudge here.
Thank you. I have been going off what others have said, so if that’s the case I’m glad to hear it.
I like how he works....She’ll come begging soon....
I’m a Trump/Cruz supporter, but some on here think you have to body slam everyone who annoys you. Trump and Cruz have different styles - one from a business standpoint, and the other from a legal. They have different personalities, and I look at things through those filters.
Is that you, Jorge Ramos?
