Before his bombastic concert-in-the-park performance in Mobile, Donald Trump had come across chiefly as an amusing amateur whose total lack of basic political knowledge and essential reasoning ability had rendered him unwilling to do interviews that he could not phone in from the confines of his office.
In Alabama, he broke out, transforming himself in the process into something else altogether. One part Alan Ginsberg, one part Jim Morrison, and one part Roderick Spode, Trump strode onto the Southern stage as might a troubled rock star. This, his insolent upper lip told the camera, was show time.
All of which is to say that Donald Trump has matured in precisely the wrong direction, having moved from bumbling dilettante to Dunning-Kruger poster-boy in a single leap. Politics in a free republic consists of modesty, of compromise, and of dull perseverance. It is, by its very nature, the precise opposite of rock and roll. Self-described conservatives have historically prided themselves on their aversion to our gaudy celebrity culture and their disgust at the conflation of reality TV and the quotidian workings of the government.
They should not abandon this virtuous instinct just because a rich and famous entertainer has donned an oversized hat and pandered to their prejudices for a summer. Not all stars that fall on Alabama should be given access to the nations nuclear arsenal. Let us leave Donald Trump to his trip.

Wow, I think that is the most idiotic rant I have ever seen, and I have seen some doozies.
And just how is that working out for us?
Gop establishment circle wagons. They will kiss up to Trump the same as they suck up to the Chamber of Whores and the rest of the CHEAP LABOR EXPRESS.
We don’t need a GOP that ignores 94 million Americans out work. We don’t need illegals taking jobs from kids doing yard work, and adults in the building trades.
These CHEAP LABOR REPUBLICANs are why real incomes factored for inflation are flat to down for 15 years.
After Trump wins a few of the early primaries these suck ups will want to ingratiate themselves toward Trump, but he has told them he won’t do anything for them, he wants to make America great again and they are a big part of the problem.
Conservative, that is!
Another day, another GOPe/NR Trump hit piece.
No thanks.
Charles Cooke is scared of losing his job.
Turning his fraud up to 11 to get his bosses to notice.
“Please! Please!, Paula hasn’t written a hit piece in two weeks. If anyone should go it’s her!”
Throw in Jesse Ventura and Al Franken as well as a couple of football players in Congress. Celebrity does not necessarily mean intelligence, to wit anyone name Kardashian...........................
The way I look at this:
There are more of us Trump/Cruz supporters than there are of the other candidates....we know we are winning...let them have their day in the ‘sun’ and get dried up....
GO TRUMP/CRUZ 2016!!!!
A drug addled rock star. Like that’s a bad thing?
Does Cooke pay attn to BO and the state dept and HILLARY?
And Barack Obama acts like a humble Buddhist monk.
There’s a new housing development going up across the street from me where an elementary school used to be, 42 houses total. All of the carpenters, roofers, bricklayers, drywall hangers and landscapers appear to be Mexicans or other south of the border types............................
but I look for him to evolve into a presidential stature.
I had the same hopes that my first wife would evolve
Ya, maybe this is why Trump’s theme song is resonating!
We’re Not Gonna Take It Anymore

The Donald does not do politics. He negotiates deals, and part of the deal making is to get the board on your side, then plunge ahead with what is the right thing anyway.
People want something for something, that is why deals are set up in the first place. The Donald has been looking at things from the perspective that the US, as a trade deal partner, has been getting very little or nothing in exchange for giving away a whole lot, some of which we shall be needing later on.
“The Art of the Deal” is the blueprint from which The Donald operates. A couple of the points made, is that no deal is the final deal, and any deal may be walked away from if either party feels aggrieved and is not getting fair exchange. To pursue a “deal” for the sake of having a piece of paper later is a sham and a fraud on all parties involved, if the outcome is totally asymmetrical. There may not always be parity, but there should be some degree of mutual satisfaction.
Their problem with Trump is they know they cannot control him. He has no need for them and is beholden to nobody but the voters, if he wins. That scares the hell out of them............................
More like a Twisted Sister!
National Review is still in denial I see. LOL!

Here in Vegas where Unemployment went to 15% all you see is illegals working construction, but they don’t make the $20 an hour that Americans used to make. I know a few retired or disabled construction workers , they say most of the Americans had to move since the big companies like KB homes went to using illegal labor.
Same thing in Hotels its little Mexico nobody can get you anything unless you speak Spanish.
