Confronted by Jorge Ramos [Trump:"I have a bigger heart than you, I want them to become legal"]
CNN Video ^ | August 25, 2015

When Jorge Ramos [Univision] is invited back after being escorted out because he wouldn't stop interrupting, he and Donald Trump had an interesting exchange.

Be sure to watch.

4:48 Video: Donald Trump Confronted by Univision Jorge Ramos at Iowa Press Before Rally Speech "

Donald Trump explains that he will get rid of the gangs [which is the only group he says he will deport (if you've read it) in his plan] and then says to Ramos, "You're going to like this," "I will be humane" "I want them to come back" because "I have a bigger heart than you" - explaining that he will be a good manager and after the good ones get their papers - "I want them to get documentation so that they become legal" - they can come back.

he deported, and it failed, period. The Steinle murderer was deported, SUCCESSFULLY, six times...and he still came back to kill her.

You are in such deep doo doo on this....only you can’t smell the stench.

*********************
The murderer circulated back and forth into the country with full knowledge of law enforcement. Deportation did not fail; law enforcement failed on all levels. Law enforcement violated their own mandates. They actually turned him loose.

Surely you have heard of sanctuary cities that extend invitations to illegals, as per the word of the murderer himself. And I’m sure you are aware of the enticements illegals have for crossing the border. And, as Steyn pointed out yesterday about this very same concept, when the word gets out that there is a severe crackdown, the illegals leave on their own to avoid the hassle. It is like bank robberies; you can’t stop them all, but you can stop most of them.

I repeat; deportation is successful when engaged in, along with removing the enticements. The Steinle murderer came back many times not because of deportation, but because nobody is apparently stopped coming in. He is the poster boy for what is wrong with our immigration policy, and it is not deportation. The authorities refused to enforce the law.

Whoregay, you may have a bigger heart, but you have a smaller Bell Curve brain that can not comprehend respect for the Rule of Law, the unfairness of forcing legit American taxpayers to be burdened an average of $700,000 per illegal alien invader family, the disaster of fundamentally transforming the political and cultural dynamic of the invaded nation.
You may have a big heart Whoregay but you are an absolute idiot, and you have no manners.

He has been for the most part very consistent on the economics issues. ON the social issues, he’s evolving to the right answers, like you and me and everyone else. I was a a bit liberal when I was young and in college, and then evolved.

The man is actually a very good mentor and role model, I think for this country. We finally have a real man, not a robot, not a mouth piece.

I enjoy listening to him, and learn something each time. Make no doubt, he’s a showman, he’s full of himself, but damnmit we need someone like that on the world stage.

I’m predicting, that you’ll come around eventually. A lot of people, and I mean a lot hated Reagan and wanted Bush elected.

Speaking of the Ramos issues with Trump......”He was “removed” from the room, much as an ILLEGAL should be removed from the country - immediately.
He was allowed back in, where his “situation” was adjudicated. And found to be lacking, by the way.”......

Much that same as a three year old needing a “time out”.

“.....in addition to lying to get in, almost all have broken other laws to stay-—welfare fraud, falsification of forms, etc.”.....

Getting on the U.S. welfare system plus numerous “give away” programs to them is nothing more than a trophy or bonus given to the illegals that do get in.

You and I do not think alike.

No sale.

I never hated Reagan; I don’t know anyone who did.

To compare Trump to Reagan shows a HUGE knowledge gap in your understanding (or acquaintance with) their histories and ideology.

If Trump is what you need, I’m not in the world you inhabit.

He’s a scam artist.

I could see “invite them to come back” to simply mean prioritizing those who have successfully learned english, held jobs, paid taxes (real estate, sales, payroll, etc...) raised families and contributed to American society over those who have not. When we implement our new system of legal immigration, we can say that if you have previously successfully lived in America you are bumped to the top of the list to come back.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that. It would be like having an employee who has done a great job for your company over the last 10 years and finding out they lied on their resume to get the job. You fire them and post the open position. The ex-employee applies for the job with an honest resume and is far more qualified than any of the other candidates (seeing as how he did a great job in the position for the past 10 years).

But that isn’t the red meat Trump threw out.

The other candidates thought this was a campaign, not a circus side show.

they, especially Bush, are fighting the old war.

Like generals everwhere they have not yet quite caught up with the fact this a different war and everything is different beginning with the fact they are losing

I don’t think I compared him to Reagan, he is totally different from Reagan. The only similarity is that he was once a democrat and converted, and I guess too that he’s a product of the entertainment business.

I said that if you go back in time before Reagan’s New Hampshire primary, Reagan was being laughed at, ridiculed by all the conservatives out there. He was a joke to them. The Bushes mocked him., “At least I actually flew a plane, rather than pretending to.”

Trump, for better or worse, is a true product of my generation, the baby boomers. He’s the right person for the times we have, and we have not had a strong leader in this country since Reagan, before that our presidents were strong leaders in the world for the most part.

My brother thinks Trump is P.T. Barnum. He doesn’t particularly like him. But he says it’s clear if things continue as they will in the world, it plays into Trumps cause.

It takes courage to run for the presidency. Esp with the nature of the media. I think Trump is really the only person who can truly unite us, and I’ll be the first to admit, he may end up bringing more democrats to our side in the process while losing some conservatives.

Clearly, he needs to evolve over time, and move with conviction to the right on every thing. The revelation with Planned Parenthood is a no in between issue. I can’t believe the media is not asking the democrats where they stand on this. They love to play tough with our people, not theirs.

In summary, I’m sorry that you can’t see anything positive in Trump, but frankly speaking, we are in a crisis and the Ted Cruzes, Scott Walkers, Bush and Carsons don’t cut it, and never will.

They’d all make great running mates, SCOTUS, attorney generals, SOS etc, but they are not stand up gutsy American leaders. If you’re waiting for the perfect candidate from our side, then you’ll probably be sitting this one out come next November.

Which candidate is most likely to follow through, in your opinion ?

“Which candidate is most likely to follow through, in your opinion ? “

Very good question.
My cynical; not trusting of any politician mindset; says none of them!
But I think Cruz would be the best.
Trump maybe; but not sure I trust him. Trump has put so much emphasis on a fence (a solution I don’t think will ever be done) that I don’t believe him.

I find a fence something that sounds good in a speech; but which will never be done; or take 10 years.

Patrolling the area with the Guard could be done; and done instantly I would think; and it would work.
Once the border is secure; people will quit trying to cross it.

I respectfully disagree. As Trump says, building a wall isn’t hard, building a 93 story skyscraper is. A wall is as symbolic as it is functional. And we know we are not starting from scratch. Some areas are adequately sealed now, some are unnecessary to seal, so a ten year estimate is an excuse to not follow through. There is only one reason we are constantly told a wall will not work. Because it will, and they know it.

As we have seen, boots on the ground are highly effective, but can be removed or directed to not engage.

Cruz has made it clear he wants to work in immigration policy that has bipartisan support. That means some undetermined level of enforcement that later triggers legalization (amnesty). A very familiar tune. That along with his desire to dramatically increase work visas makes him more than a little problematic.

Um...whut?....the premise that all the drywallers are here( and causing a labor shortage in mexico) is a false one...I'm sure they do drywall in Mexico.

No, my point was that they wouldn't be here at all, if the economics of employing illegals were redressed and balanced off by a tariff on the labor.

Their labor is basically subsidized by the Mexican government through its social policies and large subsidies of the Mexican cost of living. So it pays like a bandit for the Mexican worker to come north, earn American (unsubsidized, un-77 cent-per-hour, un-Mexican) wages, live like a hermit in the States, and send all those giros home to mama.

That is what I am saying.

Tax the labor to even them up in the US market, and presto, no more advantage, no more economic border-crossing. Problem is, you gotta grab and stamp these guys and then inspect the employers, to see if they have indocumentados on the worksite.

As for the worksite Spanish, there are only a few words you need to know, to know when they're abusing your good nature: gringo, guero, pendejo or some formula including these Keatsian words of genius, are your starter kit.
