He voted twice for President Barack Obama. He watches as Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, berates the president on a near-daily basis.
And yet, he's considering voting for Donald Trump.
"He has a history of getting the job done. We need someone as president who can get the job done, and I feel that hes not afraid to take on the challenges," he said.
Another panelist who said she had voted for Obama twice said she was impressed with Trump's bravado from the start. She made note of him fighting back when numerous businesses and corporations cut ties with him amid backlash over controversial remarks on immigration.
"Hes not afraid. He doesnt show fear. He doesnt show that its going to look bad. I mean, even when Macys and
NBC fired him, it didnt tarnish his strength. It didnt make him feel like, Oh, I got canned or I got fired, or whatever," the panelist said.

Would those views be the Trump that is very pro-choice, same-sex marriage, gays in the military... ? Or the Trump that thinks "single payer healthcare works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland. It could have worked in a different age, which is the age you're talking about here."
Or some other such-gobblegook-you're-an-idiot-loser dodge?
Then again, maybe you're right, The Donald is appealing to the "new generation" twitterspeak reality tv voter.
But, that's not you. Why do *you* believe a thing this guy says - if you can parse it into intelligible english - today?
He'll make her look absolutely honorable and sane, intelligent and knowledgeable. She'll make him look like an unstable misogynist racist.
I'll bet on it. (Lord help us.. :)
It’s almost as if you folks are reading off an old seminar sheet.
As I said, toss your hissy fit all you like. Trump will still be out there selling Conservatism to a new generation.
Obama was a cult of personality, Trump is a cult of personality, except Trump has a track record that doesn’t consist of simply voting present.
It is not surprising that folks enamored by a cult of personality would easily flip to someone else even if they were diametrically opposed ideologically because their support was never based in ideology.
You’re becoming laughable now.
Trumps latest numbers show Hillary trailing him.
Not too elegant or convincing dodge of the points there, D.. :)
I'll give you the candidate leading in the polls in August the year prior to the election. I'll take anybody else. Bet?
No fair researching.. :)
You’re still bringing up his comments regarding the Canadian and Scotland medical systems. He has already addressed his vision and it’s nothing like them.
I’m just get tired of going over the same ground for folks too darned lazy or dishonest to address his stance for what it is.
Why waste my time on you? Seriously.
How many situations have you seen where the guy is leading with 40% of the vote and his nearest competitor is stuck around 13%?
Don’t have to go that far back to get pretty close: Hillary Clinton, August 2007.
July, 2007:
Rudy Giuliani 37%, John McCain 16%, Fred Thompson 15%, Mitt Romney 8%, Tommy Thompson 3%, Mike Huckabee 2%
That’s okay. If Trump bombs out, kudos to you for your early prediction.
The guy has too broad of appeal.
If you could find a guy with 80% at this time in the process, I wouldn’t change my opinion that Trump will take the nomination and the presidency.
There’s a momentum here that isn’t going to simply evaporate.
Today or before?
Why waste my time on you?
I don't know. I'm just stating what he said, what his positions were, who he supported politically.
You could just let that be.
Maybe he's really changed. That could be enough of a defense maybe: "Yeah, true, but he's changed. He's a different Donald today."
:)
I think this is all easily explained. They’re MORONS!
They identify with whoever the media thinks is important and, right now, that’s Trump. They’re voting for Trump because none of the Kardashians are running.
A few minutes ago you required a bit less.. :)
Theres a momentum here that isnt going to simply evaporate.
Some polls had Trump higher when he wasn't running in 2011.
Bet is still on the table.. :)
Sealing the border with a Trump wall appeals to a very large number of people here in the south.
If they didn’t realize it after the first term, what in his second term has made them see the reality of Obama? No, they are just stupid people. This time, however, they are voting their pocketbook rather than their heart. They probably still think the Republicans stopped Obama from helping their financial bottom line.
Now they are ready to be fooled for a third time, lol. Silly electorate.
All I can tell you is what he is hawking today. There are a number of campaign presentations and interviews out there now.
So far, I haven’t heard him hawking anything sounding like Democrat policy.
I don’t know what setting all his previous comments came from. They may all be interviews or from speeches, but some of them may have been off the cuff things too.
I can remember myself years ago having certain convictions that were off. I hadn’t taken the time to sit down and study the issues. When I did, I found myself morphing. I was helping to plan some political events, and by listening to others around me, I realized I need to give some issues more thought.
I did and I developed a stance that conforms with my overall outlook.
Trump was spending long hours each day working to create his empire. I doubt he was sitting down and studying political issues much.
When he was thinking about running for president, he had to sit down and look at issues. He did. I’m impressed by what his stance is on the issues today.
Folks aren’t patting him on the back today for supporting Hillary. They aren’t patting him on the back for supporting Obamacare. They are patting him on the back for anti-American talk, amnesty, or supporting the Leftist machine.
He isn’t talking up Obama. He disagrees with his Iran nuclear deal. He says so.
You folks can be upset with him. You can pretend that he’s the biggest Liberal in our field of candidates.
Listen to some of his YouTube videos. You’ll begin to understand why people are supporting him.
Is he perfect? I’m sure he’s not. None of our candidates are.
He has some positives going for him that none of the other candidates have. He may be the best solution to our problems we’ve ever had.
I say this, because he has been putting $100 billion dollar deals together for decades. He has very smart people around him, and we want our federal budget balanced and to pay down the national debt.
This is the guy to do it. He has people who know how to manipulate funds and create the best possible position for the U. S. economically.
