Though Fox News hosts remained largely silent during Donald Trump's first spat with Megyn Kelly, the channel's personalities were quick to defend their colleague Tuesday morning after Trump again decided to ridicule Kelly.
Trump had patched up his relationship with Fox after commenting that Kelly "had blood coming out of her wherever" during the first Republican presidential debate. However, on Monday night he said Kelly was "off her game" upon returning from vacation. He also retweeted a comment calling Kelly a "bimbo."
During "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday morning, co-host Brian Kilmeade said Trump's tweets attacking Kelly were "totally out of control" and "unwarranted."
"You cannot, you should not be going after her," he said. "He is totally out of bounds reigniting that fight. I don't know if he expects to get ratings out of that, or poll numbers, but he's not going to be successful."
Numerous hosts and contributors on Fox News followed suit with tweets defending Kelly and calling out Trump's retweet of a comment calling Kelly a "bimbo."

That is good to know. What the heck. Dems have been using slash and burn tactics forever. It’s our time.
My brother, who a month ago said he would NEVER vote for Trump, now says there’s a long way to go but Trump and Cruz are his picks right now :)
Of course, my brother is very well versed on what’s going on in the news and the world.
Low info voters scare me, but they might vote for him because they know him from TV lol. That’s fine with me.
No way. Thinking is hard work, and it’s lots of fun to watch The Donald trounce the political elite.
by fish, you are referring to Megyn - I smell dead fish.
>> Trump is starting to look like a petulant child <<
Starting?
Muggin’ Kelly reignited the feud when she had 2 snarky guests and coached THEM into badmouthing Trump. He COULD NOT let that go unanswered. He MUST let everybody know he won’t be anybody’s punching bag. Hopefully, for their own good, some of these turdbrains will learn to keep a civil tongue in their otherwise vacant skulls.
You must be joking. Fox News is Trump central. Greta and Hannity pretty much slobber over him for 2 hours every weeknight, plus he gets mostly positive coverage from many of the other personalities on that network.
Tough, Fox. Eat your peas. You bought and paid for them.
LOL, Fox News will long outlast Trump. Trump will eventually jump the shark and Fox News will still be pulling in record ratings. I hope Greta and Hannity finally wise up and stop their Trump worship every night, it's pretty disgusting to see.
“I totally disagree with the FOX statement. I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist”
Is this the new kindler and gentler Donald trump? I hope not. Give them both barrels.
O’Reilly needs to listen to someone who’s studied and defended the Constitution for years...Mark Levin.
But I don’t think BOR will. He listens only to himself.
I like your taste in women. I’d vote for all three of them.
When you have a team, and Fox News is a team, the players sorta have to stick together. Who knows what the individual players think.
I agree with what someone said on this board: Fox and Trump are probably scrapping around to build up the audience for Trump’s next appearance on Fox.
The Trump Kelly scrapping will teach us the degree to which she’s relied on her good looks for her success.
Personally I hope people figure out they are all liberals. I’m a Cruz guy. But to deny the slobbering GOP history of Hannity and Co is to deny reality.
And If Trump hands them their ass, I won’t shed a tear. Fox is the greater of those dangers to America.
O’Reilly is definitely not that bright. Just listen to him on global warming.
In regard to anchor babies and the 14th amendment, I’ve noticed that he doesn’t debate it with Mark Levin or Ted Cruz.
To O’Reilly it’s settled science - just like global warming.
He’s got to fact these clowns again in another debate. Discrediting the lot of them as paid shills of the Jeb Bush campaign is a good strategy.
You know how this next one is going to go. Trump will be in the center again, and he’ll just be smiling down on her like he’s the bad kid in class. “Are you going to ask me about something people actually care about, or are you going to insult my hair or something?”
She tries what she tried last time, she’ll be doing ‘whodunits’ on the ID channel with Debbie Norville or something like that.
I know what you mean. The value of watching is gone and there is nothing to be gained from watching them. I now exclusively teach myself from other sources. Television is 100% the vast wasteland of which many have made reference for years.
I learn nothing from Fox that I didn’t know already, and see much that is flat our wrong.
That’s “... bubble headed Bleached blonde...” newsreader. You give her too much credit calling her a “reporter”, even given the state of the journalism trade.
>> Trump is starting to look like the little boy that pulls the girls pigtails <<

Well said and very true.
Let us consider this. If Trump gets up to 45% of the total electorate ready to vote for him for President--and the two party system survives until after the November election; he is going to need to reach some of the other 55%. He cannot afford to have people offended by his using the same tactics with feminine women that he uses with male opponents. And it is completely unnecessary. He can reduce Megyn Kelly to sputtering frustration, simply by handling her as Hollywood directors have had heroes handle pretty women who are out of line, in the plot, since the movies went "talky."
I was certainly not suggesting that he "just take it from the liberal media." I was addressing how to up his surging popularity even further, at the expense of those in the media, who try to get in his way. Because he can use some weapons extremely well, does not mean he should not also employ other weapons, when they are avialable.
