Just flagging this so that we have an easy point of chronological reference for The Day Fox’s Trump Coverage Changed.
The truce is over.
I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly. Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!

Roger Ailes allegedly warned Trump two weeks ago that if he didn’t lay off Kelly, he and the network would “go to war.” Well, here you go. War.
It's been 19 days since the debate- @realDonaldTrump has made his feelings clear. But THIS needs to stop http://t.co/8BmVPZTGdp #let-it-go

It’s going to be weird when Hannity hosts his next “Trumpmania! The New American Revolution” special and can’t invite the man himself on to comment. Anyway: Why’d Trump restart this fight? I can think of two explanations and the one you prefer will depend on whether you think Trump operates largely via unthinking ego or wily media savvy. Explanation one: It’s pure hubris. He’s soaring in the polls, he’s (sort of) filling football stadiums with devotees, and he’s the hottest ticket on cable news. He could pick up the phone at any time of day or night and instantly get put on the air on CNN, MSNBC, or Fox. Maybe he figures he’s so bulletproof right now that he can take on Roger Ailes, the most powerful man in conservative media, and win. What’s the worst that can happen? If Fox cuts him off, he’ll spend the next six months doing daily call-ins on CNN and MSNBC about what a loser network full of overrated losers Fox is.
Explanation two: It’s all part of his anti-establishment game. Trump’s core message to Republican voters is that powerful interests, including and especially interests that are ostensibly allied with them on the right like the GOP leadership in Washington, aren’t really looking out for them. On the contrary, those interests routinely sell out the concerns of their base in order to please their wealthy benefactors. Immigration is the ultimate example. A war with Fox will slide easily into that narrative. Apart from a few Trump loyalists like Hannity, he’ll say, Ailes and his network have been bought and sold by the same donor-class losers who are backing Bush and Rubio. They’re an establishment outfit that shouldn’t be patronized by conservatives who want “real change” in Washington. Fox’s leverage against an antagonist like that would normally be to cut him off entirely, but like I say, Trump’s the biggest name in media right now. He doesn’t need Fox to get a TV megaphone. And if Fox takes him on by cutting coverage of Trump way back and unleashing its hosts to excoriate him, it’ll only seem to prove Trump’s point that the network has an anti-populist agenda (with Trump himself being the avatar of populism in this formula). He’ll be frozen out of Fox forever as a guest, in all likelihood, but he’s already lost various media jobs in the course of running for president. What’s one more?
Exit question: How will Ailes play this? I think Inside Cable News is right that it’ll be a “slow play” strategy where Trump’s coverage gets gradually rather than dramatically reduced to make it harder for Trump to claim that he’s being blackballed.
Update: War?

Update: Full-court press from the Foxies:
My friend @realDonaldTrump has captured the imagination of many. Focus on Hillary, Putin, border, jobs, Iran China & leave @megynkelly alone

FWIW. THERE MAY BE SOMETHING HERE THAT EXPLAINS WHY THE MEN CAME FORWARD. OR NOT

That is exactly what I am looking for in a president!
you're an undefeatable argument in favor of poll testing.
There is an old political adage: ‘Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel.’ It will be interesting to see if Donald, the political outsider, can ignore that advice and not only survive fighting with the media but thrive doing so.
I don't think he drinks though. IIRC, he says he's never been drunk in his life.
Donald Trump has said on a number of occasions his brother died of alcoholism, and that he does not drink (or smoke.)
Yeah.
I don’t think we need anyone who threatens to beat someone’s brains out running for president where he will have control of nuclear weapons.
Lindsey Graham should drop out and resign from the senate.

I don’t think that tweeting that you preferred a news show when its regular host is away is an indication of psychosis.
I prefer the O’Reilly Factor when Jesse Waters hosts it.
Maybe Megyn Kelly should stop endeavoring to destroy presidential candidates with asinine questions asked during a debate if she wants to be viewed as an objective and respectable journalist and an impartial debate moderator.
What’s he raving about?
Her show was better without her.
Why?
Alcohol is no one’s friend.
I know enough to disregard the posts of people who have no earthly idea what the words they use actually the mean. Ignorance is not a resume enhancer.
Trump doesn’t drink his brother died of alcoholism! He doesn’t touch the stuff!!!
What most every poster seems to have overlooked, is the fact that Kelly brought this new barrage on herself! Last night on her first show back she went right after Trump in a cheap, snarky manner. Trump’s tweets were in response to that nonsense, NOT the debate debacle!
Man....do a little reading before spouting off.
Gee too bad Trump doesn’t drink or do drugs.
Pack up all your cares and woe
Off you go, singin' low
Bye, bye, Megyn
Donald Trump's in wait for thee
Sugar's sweet.....but not so he, hah, hah
Bye, bye Megyn
Folks love Trump and yes, we understand him
Too bad you did your best to under-hand him
Leave your perch, go off to fly
Too dah loo, bye, bye, bye, bye
Bye, bye, Megyn
You like to think that Trump's a clown and racist
But then he gets right back into your face-ist, hah
Now every night from nine to ten
We'll flick our click to CNN
Farewell, adios, bye, bye, adieu
Including Hume, the Kraut and Stirewalt, too
So long, Megyn

Trump's right, her show is better when Shannon Bream hosted it. Come to think of it, so is Special Report with Bret Baier.
She’s been quietly hammering away at Trump. Picks the right guests then feeds them the questions that will get her desired response. I had to turn it off.
I haven't watched Fox News since the E. D. Hill days - I tried but O’Reilly angered me one night with his squalling and bawling about gasoline prices (he is such an uninformed twit). The interview I referenced was sent to me.
As for Meg - she was not raised right, that is certain. Which just cements what I've believed about Fox for a long time. Fox news has a bunch of liberals pretending to be conservatives in order to brainwash conservatives.
No, he fights back which we understand is offputting to most Conservatives.
Is he supposed to accept a hit job by Kelly with no facts to back it up or fight back?
Pray America is waking
I had hoped that this childishness would have ended with her vacation. And the whole folderrah sucked air from what the other candidates said during that forum.
