As Hillary implodes, the Democrats have no real Plan B

The summer has not been kind to Hillary Clinton. The drip-drip-drip of revelations about her possible misuse and mishandling of classified information threatens to become a deluge in the fall. They have taken a serious toll on her reputation — and even more notably, her treatment by liberal media figures who surely would rather she be elected even if the Risen Christ were to be the Republican nominee. Democrats are worried — so worried five donors who raised millions for President Obama as well as Obama’s chief Florida strategist have both sworn off Hillary and joined an effort to draft Vice President Joe Biden to save the party from an unelectable (or, dare we say it, indicted) nominee. Should they be worried? Sure. People in politics should always worry, and since she kicked off her presidential campaign by talking about being “dead broke,” Hillary has been a worry-generating machine for any rational non-Pollyanna Democrat who doesn’t live in a Media Matters for America bubble.

I don’t know why the author would make a statement like this. “Plan B” for the Democrats — a Biden/Warren ticket — might actually be more credible than “Plan A” is.

This is indeed good news. However we can’t give up the fight and allow Bernie to win.

Talking to a crowd of young people (20 and 30 somethings)they are all a-fire for Bernie. They think he will crush “Big Business” and bring back the jobs to them (totally not understanding that it is business that provides the jobs.... they don’t see a big difference in what they lump together as “Big Businesses” and “Crony Capitalism which the government allows to much persuasive power to.)

Nothing I could say to them swayed their minds, as they simply tuned it all out. I said, “Bernie is a communist”, they said, “no, he’s a socialist (as if that is a difference) and the happiest people live in socialist countries like Switzerland, Sweden, UK, Australia.” They are convinced that is true. So sad!

It's looking more likely that Jeb, the chosen one, is not going to get the nomination. If it isn't Jeb vs hillary, the sure win is gone.

Without a "Plan B", there just might be a real political process, both parties, which the puppetmasters can't control. That's a good thing.

She never had any reputation, apart from what the media made up. The drip-drip-drip of revelations is the media trying to dam the flow, but at some point even that becomes ineffectual. The sound of the crashing torrent will indeed be music to the ears.
