Billionaire businessman Donald Trump has captured the publics attention for better or worse, and his bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, once seen as a pipe dream, is now a topic of serious discussion. So for the near future at least, Rasmussen Reports intends to track Trumps race for the White House in a weekly Friday feature were calling Trump Change.
Our latest national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely Republican Voters now think Trump is likely to be the Republican presidential nominee next year, with 25% who say its Very Likely. That compares to 27% who felt a Trump nomination was likely two months ago when he formally announced his presidential bid, a finding that included just nine percent (9%) who said it was Very Likely.
At that time, Trump ran near the bottom among the 12 declared GOP candidates. Now he leads the pack of Republican hopefuls which has grown to include 17 prominent contenders.
Among all likely voters, 49% think Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee, including 17% who say its Very Likely. That compares to 23% and seven percent (7%) respectively in the earlier survey. Forty-eight percent (48%) now say Trump is not likely to win the nomination, with 21% who feel it is Not At All Likely.

"According to the World Book Dictionary, a politician is 'A person who gives much time to political affairs; a person who is experienced in politics.' A statesman is defined as 'A person who is skilled in the management of public or national affairs.' The difference in definitions is subtle, but the difference in practice is enormous....
"Statesmen earn votes, politicians buy them."
Excerpted from D. Michael North's "The Difference Between Statesmen and Politicians."
Our country is in deep trouble.
We don’t need a statesman. We need a fixer.
Cry us a fricking statesman river!
Then you want a statesman to do the fixing.
I agree. Trump has done the GOP electorate a favor by showing up the mediocrity of most of the other candidates. My exceptions are Cruz, Jindal and that’s about it. Bobby Jindal is not real popular in his own state so that is somewhat problematic to me. I really only want Trump or Cruz.
(Trump was Right: Mexican Officials' Real Agenda)....right again....and I think he is toning his rhetoric down a bit....however, even George Will..whose wife works for the Scott Walker campaign!!! will have to reassess his disdain for Trump, maybe just stop writing about the businessman.....
Gets better everyday!
I am afraid you are wasting your time my FRiend. Far too many here have been guzzling the Trump Kool-Aid. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t comment much on the political threads anymore. We are committing political suicide. The strange thing is some of the Trumpetts know it, but are so pissed with the world that they just don’t care.
Not only will Donald Trump become the Republican nominee for POTUS...he will win the POTUS election in a landslide!!! Why??? Because his voters are coming from Republicans, Conservatives, Democrats, Independents, African-Americans, Hispanics, etc. The dummy media and the Democrat Party have nary a clue as to the real sea change occurring in USA politics!!!
I am still skeptical of Trump, but would vote for him in the general election and believe he will be the nominee and our next president.

Fair enough.
My question: when is he going to begin an ad blitz on hillary. with the current leakage, its time to destroy her candidacy now. ATTACK EARLY
Well, that got outa hand fast!
Yeah, I threw a trident.
Read it again. It’s 57%, which includes 27% who think “very likely.”
I’m in Louisiana and if Jindal is not popular here it’s because of massive liberal media smears and slander against him as they do to all who are against socialism. It’s the media vs. anyone who tries to reduce government to stop socialism. Jindal is great imo.
Go Trump!
Oh, my bad.
It is too soon. No candidate should appear so overwhelmingly in front that all the voter shenanigans of the Democrats will be seen as insufficient. That judgment would be physically dangerous for the candidate. He might well not survive until the election.
He's already started...
Imagine Trump as POTUS, would not be surprised if he surrounded himself with the likes of John Bolton, Petraeus, McCrystal, Carson among other patriotic freedom loving Americans.
I’m looking for a Tee shirt with this: 2016, TRUMP or the FRUMP!
