The article is the typical "these poor people are sick, they need help, we need funding to study pedos" BS. Skim it. But check out the (closed) comments section. Very interesting. Some of the commenters admit to being pedophiles. Also, commenters debate the differences between sexual interest in a mature LOOKING teen versus the prepubescent children. The article has one good point. Maybe we should allow pedophiles to get help from shrinks without them being forced to report directly, as long as the pedophile doesn't admit to actually touching a child. That is a good subject for debate - maybe some would be able to get help to keep them from touching and harming kids. Again, I am not sure if that is possible.

Correct. Knowing why they do it is not the primary issue. Protecting the children is. Period. No discussion on that.
There are only two ways of doing that. Lock them up forever, or execute them. Pedos can’t be cured, they can’t be “redirectd”. The only way to protect children is to remove them from society in one of those two ways.

He used to appear on The Biggest Loser, which was sponsored by Subway, and the heavy contestants would gather around him like a hero because he achieved their goals. How dare he? He pretended to be Everyman who was able to lose over 200 lbs, and after the show he was probably hitting up hookers looking for young girls. Sick.
I do wish that conviction on two separate counts of child molestation or sex with a child was a capital crime. In case someone is falsely accused, I’ll allow someone to live after only one conviction. But that is it. Two victims or two separate times, and they should leave the earth.

You mention the marriages between 14 and 15 year old brides 100+ years ago. These were never about sex, or in many cases even love. They were about family, the preservation/expansion of wealth/land and the benefit to the children that such marriages created.
An experienced/accomplished/wealthy man of 30+ years would court and marry the 14 or 15 year old daughter of another prominent/wealthy family. They would have children who had wealth, land, and social stature.
In these cases these are just perverts....execute them.

I agree with you, but more recently, “kids” did fall in love young and marry. My grandfather was 18 and headed to college and my grandmother was graduating high school at 16 and they married. It wasn’t that unusual in the earlier decades of the 20th century, and they were from middle class families.

I think the women who abuse their power over young hormonal teen boys are just as sick and depraved. Smart people understand that these gangly yet hyper hormonal boys are still kids inside.
